Sneaker Talk: Let’s Talk – Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs”

Published on

The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” originally released in April 1993, as they were the shoes Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls defeated Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns during the ’93 Finals. They later retro’d for the first time in December 2007 featuring a similar color-shceme of Black/Varsity Red-White-Bright Concord with minor differences like the Black pull-tab, which was Red on the OG pair. However, both releases didn’t last on the shelves as they instantly became sold-out within minutes.

Now with rumors already going around on a possible Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” return for 2013, could we see the “Playoffs” Air Jordan 8 follow? Did you score these on either of their releases? If not, would you consider them to be a Must-Cop or Must-Pass if Jordan Brand were to bring them back? Lastly, the Air Jordan 8’s are arguably one model that #sneakerheads have mix feelings about, and we liked to know where you rank them amongst the other Air Jordan models?
