Dr. Martens x The Powerpuff Girls Collection Drops August 27th

Dr. Martens is linking up with The Powerpuff Girls for a new Buzz collection featuring Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Mojo Jojo, and HIM. Three shoe styles are included, along with bags and socks inspired by the cartoon.

The Buzz 5i “Powerpuff Girls” puts the focus on the show’s three heroes. Pink Virginia leather covers the upper and continues onto the Buzz sole, while the stitching changes color to reference Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The laces also come with small charms shaped around familiar graphics from the series, including hearts, stars, flowers, and “POW!” details.

Mojo Jojo gets a much darker look on the Buzz Strap. Black Kaya leather is mixed with hairy suede and satin-finished panels, then broken up with bright green accents pulled from the character. A custom tongue, ray gun charm, and printed insole handle most of the remaining references.

The Buzz Hi “HIM” is the tallest and loudest pair in the collection, using glossy red patent leather with green accents and an oversized Buzz sole. One of the better character details is the claw-shaped zipper pull, which ties directly to HIM’s hands. Additional graphics and charms continue the theme without covering the entire boot in artwork.

The accessories follow the same ideas used on the footwear. A pink Heart Backpack joins a glossy HIM Mini Top Handle Bag and Jacquard Heart socks, with character graphics, contrasting trim, and custom hardware worked into the designs.

Nike Mind 001 “Work Blue” Puts Neon Underfoot

The Nike Mind 001 is moving into the colder months with another colorway on the schedule, this time dressed in “Work Blue.”

Work Blue covers most of the molded upper and gives the shoe a nearly tonal look at first glance. The smaller details break that up. Light blue mini Swooshes run along the sides, while the Swoosh positioned on top switches to neon yellow for a much sharper contrast.

That neon yellow carries over inside the shoe as well. The same shade appears on the pressure-point nodes built into the footbed, tying one of the brightest parts of the design directly to the feature that separates the Mind 001 from a more traditional recovery slide or mule.

The open-back construction keeps the Nike Mind 001 easy to slip on and off, whether it is being worn around the house, in a locker room, after a workout, or outside. Its release schedule also makes it clear that Nike is not treating the model as something limited to warm weather, with this latest colorway arriving during the holiday season.

The “Work Blue” edition keeps the overall design straightforward, relying mostly on the contrast between the blue upper and neon yellow accents rather than adding extra graphics or heavy branding. Mini Swooshes remain worked into the upper, while the sculpted shape and pressure-point footbed continue to define the model.

The Nike Mind 001 “Work Blue” will release during Fall 2026 for $95. Pairs will be available through Nike and select retailers in-store and online.

The Jordan DMSN 95 Gets “Reverse Bred” Makeover

Jordan Brand is giving the DMSN 95 the “Reverse Bred” treatment for Fall 2026, covering the shoe mostly in University Red with black worked in throughout.

Red suede runs around the lower part of the shoe and wraps toward the heel, while a translucent red cage sits over black mesh on the sides. Black also covers the toe box, tongue, lining, and midsole, with Anthracite used across much of the outsole. The laces mix black and red to tie the upper together.

A small Tour Yellow Jumpman on the tongue adds the only real break from the red and black setup. The heel is finished with black Jumpman Air branding.

The “Reverse Bred” idea has shown up on Jordan releases before, usually by taking the classic black and red Bulls colors and changing which one dominates the shoe. The original “Bred” combination goes back to the Air Jordan 1 and Michael Jordan’s early Chicago Bulls years, and Jordan Brand has revisited different versions of that formula many times since.

On the DMSN 95, that means red takes the lead while black is used more as a supporting color across the mesh, tongue, lining, and sole.

COSTS x Vans Rework the Authentic and Slip-On With Woven Uppers

COSTS and Vans are working together again, this time using the Authentic and Slip-On to spotlight traditional Chinese weaving. Both shoes feature textured uppers inspired by dragon boats and bamboo weaving, replacing the plain canvas usually associated with the two models.

The colors come from materials tied to the same tradition. COSTS says bamboo and zongzi leaves influenced the palette, which gives the collection a mix of green and natural tones that fit the woven construction.

The Authentic and Slip-On still keep their familiar shapes, so the new upper does not completely change either model. Instead, the weaving becomes the main design detail, with COSTS branding placed on the heels. Two matching T-shirts are also included in the collection.

The COSTS x Vans Authentic and Slip-On will release August 29, 2026, exclusively through COSTS in China. A wider global release has not been announced.

adidas Handball Spezial Loafer Available Now in “Black/White”

The adidas Handball Spezial Loafer is back in “Black/White,” and this one sticks to a much more familiar adidas look. The upper is mostly smooth black leather, with white Three Stripes on the sides and a gum sole underneath.

The loafer details are where it really changes from the regular Handball Spezial. The laces are gone, the collar is cut lower, and a wide leather strap sits across the front. There’s a penny-style slot worked into the strap, plus a small gold Trefoil off to the side for a little contrast.

White leather Three Stripes run along the sides, though they are shorter than what you would normally see on the Handball Spezial. The rest of the shoe stays mostly black, including the toe, heel, and apron-style front panel. Piping around the toe helps define the loafer shape without making the design feel overly formal.

The gum rubber sole keeps the sneaker side of the design intact. Embossed adidas branding appears along the midsole, while the outsole mixes geometric traction with repeated Trefoil logos.

Earlier versions of the Handball Spezial Loafer have leaned into animal prints and tonal brown suede. This one keeps things more straightforward, using a black-and-white palette that fits naturally with the rest of the adidas Originals lineup.

Detailed Look at Kobe Bryant’s Air Jordan 8 PE Pack

Kobe Bryant wore plenty of memorable sneakers during his career, but his Air Jordan 8 PEs still stand out as something different. On Mamba Day, @englishsole pulled out both the white and black versions for a closer look at two pairs tied to Kobe’s brief run in Jordans.

The Air Jordan 8 became part of Kobe’s rotation during the 2002-03 NBA season, when he was playing without a long-term sneaker deal. Jordan Brand later used that connection when it created a special collection for Bryant near the end of his career.

Both Air Jordan 8s use the Lakers colors, but they go in completely different directions.

The white pair comes with a mostly white leather upper, purple lining, and yellow hardware around the signature ankle straps. Grey suede shows up around the collar, while purple and gold graphics cover the side panels. The same colors continue underneath on the outsole.

The black version flips the look. Black leather and suede cover most of the upper, with purple used around the tongue, lining, and ankle straps. Yellow accents appear on the hardware and side panels, keeping the Lakers connection easy to spot.

Jordan Brand presented Bryant with complete sets of Air Jordans in both white and black in 2016. The Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 received extra attention because Kobe had actually worn both models during the 2002-03 season.

The black Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 from the collection were later auctioned together for charity in Bryant’s size 14. The auction closed at $240,100, with proceeds benefiting the Jordan Wings Initiative and the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.

The white Air Jordan 8 has another connection to the project. It was also paired with the matching Air Jordan 3 for a special friends-and-family package, making those sets even harder to come across.

Seeing both Air Jordan 8 PEs together on August 24 feels fitting. Mamba Day is held every year on 8/24, a nod to the two jersey numbers Kobe wore during his Lakers career.

Neither Air Jordan 8 Kobe PE has received a public release, leaving both as rare pieces from one of the more interesting chapters of Kobe Bryant’s sneaker history.

Nike A’Two “Dawn Staley” Honors a Basketball Pioneer

A’ja Wilson is honoring Dawn Staley with an upcoming Nike A’Two colorway that goes back to their time together at South Carolina. The shoe also brings Staley’s own Nike history into the mix, taking inspiration from the signature sneakers she wore more than 20 years ago.

The design pulls directly from the Nike Zoom S5, giving the A’Two a mostly white upper with black detailing similar to Staley’s original model. An “S5” logo appears on the tongue as the clearest reference, while the “DS” nickname ties the colorway back to Staley’s initials.

Wilson played all four years of her college career under Staley at South Carolina before becoming one of the WNBA’s biggest stars. Long before Wilson received her own Nike signature shoe, Staley was already part of that history as one of the women who helped bring signature basketball footwear to the brand.

That connection gives this A’Two more meaning than a simple throwback colorway. Wilson is now building her own signature line while honoring the coach who came before her and helped open the same door more than two decades earlier.

Nike Ja Twelve Time “Solar Red” Releases September 2026

Ja Morant is getting a more affordable option from Nike with the Ja Twelve Time “Solar Red”, a new basketball model priced at $90.

The shoe stands apart from Morant’s main signature model while still carrying details tied directly to him. The lace stays use different shapes on each side, and from a top-down view, they line up to form “JA.” His triangular logo also covers the heel in a repeating pattern, with a larger version placed over the print.

Fluorescent pink runs across most of the upper and gives the “Solar Red” colorway its brightest look. Grey and black fill in the trim, midsole, and outsole, breaking up the pink without changing the overall direction of the design.

With the Ja Twelve, Morant joins a small group of Nike Basketball athletes with a secondary, lower-priced model alongside their main signature shoe. LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are among the other longtime Nike names with similar options in their footwear lines.

Disney x Champion NFL Collection Pairs Every Team With Disney, Marvel and Star Wars

Disney, Champion, the NFL, and Fanatics are bringing Disney characters into the mix for every team in the league. All 32 NFL franchises get their own matchup, pulling from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. Some are based on colors, some on mascots, and a few are really just about whether the character feels right for the team.

The collection was introduced at Fanatics Fest NYC through the Disney Fan Draft, where former NFL players revealed the first batch of pairings. The rest have now been filled in. Each team gets five T-shirts and four sweatshirt styles, with crewnecks, hoodies, and zip-ups included.

Some of the choices are pretty obvious once you see them. The Raiders get Darth Vader, which is about as natural a black-and-silver pairing as you can make. Green Bay is matched with Chewbacca, while Tampa Bay gets Captain Hook. A pirate for the Buccaneers was probably never going to need much explaining.

Some of the other choices are a little less direct. Doctor Doom represents Philadelphia, with his green and silver look fitting the Eagles better than the character choice might suggest at first. Arizona gets Jafar and Iago, and Denver is paired with Maximus from Tangled.

Atlanta gets one of the simplest Star Wars references in the collection. The Falcons are matched with the Millennium Falcon, giving the team a name-based crossover that does not need much explaining.

The timing also lines up with Disney and ESPN’s broader NFL plans. Super Bowl LXI is set for February 2027, and ESPN is scheduled to broadcast the game for the first time.

Gunna x Under Armour Scorpio P-Star Sneaker Releases August 27th

Gunna’s partnership with Under Armour is getting a much bigger role with the launch of P-Star, a new performance label that will cover both footwear and apparel. The Atlanta rapper has been named creative director and global ambassador for the project after appearing in several Under Armour campaigns over the past year.

P-Star builds around the fitness side of Gunna’s life, including his Wunna Run club and work with a sponsored youth football program. The new label gives him a more hands-on position with Under Armour while opening the door for future performance and lifestyle releases.

The Gunna x Under Armour Scorpio is the first sneaker tied to P-Star and introduces a completely new model. Although it is designed for everyday wear, the shape clearly borrows from football footwear. Six spike-like pieces extend from the midsole, which uses UA HOVR cushioning, while thin synthetic overlays give the upper a lightweight runner-inspired look.

Apparel will arrive alongside the Scorpio, including heavyweight T-shirts, shorts, sweats, thermals, mock-neck tops, and other HeatGear pieces. The first release is expected to be limited, with a larger P-Star rollout planned for 2027.

Wish ATL Closing After 22 Years in Atlanta

Wish ATL is getting ready to close its Little Five Points store on December 28, 2026, bringing 22 years in Atlanta to an end. The shop opened in 2004 and, over time, became one of those places people in the city knew for sneakers, streetwear, fashion, and smaller independent brands.

Founder Lauren Amos shared the news on Wish ATL’s Instagram. In her message, she thanked the customers, artists, designers, and everyone else who helped turn the store into what it became.

“For more than two decades, Wish has been more than a store. It has been a place where fashion, art, and culture intersect. A place where people gathered, discovered new designers and forms of expression, and above all found community and inspiration,” said Amos. “To every customer who walked through our doors in Little Five Points, every artist who trusted us, and everyone who dreamed alongside us – thank you. You are the legacy of Wish.”

Wish earned its reputation by carrying major sneaker releases alongside streetwear, collaborations, smaller brands, and independent designers. That mix helped separate it from a standard sneaker shop and gave the store a real place within Atlanta’s wider creative scene.

The closing also adds to a rough stretch for sneaker retail. Eastbay shut down in 2022, while Hanon and wellgosh later closed in Europe. atmos left the U.S. market to focus on Asia, and The Whitaker Group closed Prosper. Foot Locker has been scaling back too, after announcing in 2023 that it planned to close hundreds of mall locations by 2026.

There have been cases where a retailer managed to return after things looked finished. Sneakersnstuff went through bankruptcy before new ownership stepped in and brought the business back. Whether Wish ever takes a similar path remains unknown.

Bad Bunny x adidas F50 Ghost Sprint “Charcoal” Releases August 29th

Bad Bunny and adidas are wrapping up the F50 Ghost Sprint series with its darkest pair yet. After the brighter “Dark Marine” and “Solar Slime” colorways, the new “Charcoal” version goes with a mix of brown, grey, and black.

The shoe keeps the same spider-inspired setup used on the earlier pairs. A grey web-like cage runs across the mesh upper, adding support while still letting the lighter material underneath show through. Most of the shoe stays dark, with deep brown and charcoal shades throughout. A small hit of dark red near the toe adds some contrast.

Branding includes “adidas para Bad Bunny” and F50BB details, and the pair also comes with two lace options. Off-white touches around the outsole and heel help break up the darker look.

The Ghost Sprint takes most of its inspiration from adidas’ F50 football line. Puerto Rico’s wolf spider also plays a big part in the design, especially in the cage wrapping around the upper and the shoe’s low, lightweight shape.

It is one of the more different releases from Bad Bunny and adidas so far. Instead of sticking to a standard lifestyle sneaker, the Ghost Sprint mixes football influence with early-2000s running shoe details.

Kentucky Reveals New Nike Kobe PEs for Mamba Day

Kentucky is celebrating Mamba Day with two new Kobe PEs made just for Wildcats athletes.

The school showed off the pairs on August 24, with basketball and football each getting their own version. Kentucky basketball received a Nike Kobe 8 EM Protro dressed mostly in white with blue accents throughout. The colorway appears to be the same pair that was issued to the program in late 2023.

Kentucky football got a much different setup. The Nike Kobe 6 Protro has been turned into a cleat, featuring a blue snakeskin-style TPU upper with black detailing. It brings one of Kobe Bryant’s most recognizable signature models onto the football field.

Special Kobe PEs are nothing new for Kentucky. As a Nike-sponsored school, Wildcats athletes have received several exclusive colorways over the years that were never made available to the public.

The latest pairs were revealed on August 24, better known as Mamba Day because of Bryant’s No. 8 and No. 24 Lakers jerseys. Neither Kentucky Kobe PE is expected to release at retail.

adidas Harden 10 “Har’Denim” Trades Bright Colors for Black Denim

Going into Holiday 2026, James Harden’s latest signature shoe is getting an unexpected denim treatment with the adidas Harden Vol. 10 “Har’Denim.”

Black denim runs across most of the upper, broken up by Sashiko-inspired stitching throughout. Natural tan shows up around the vamp and heel, adding just enough contrast against the dark fabric. Black tooling finishes things off underneath.

The shape is still unmistakably Harden Vol. 10. Nothing major has been changed underneath, and the sculpted performance setup is still there. The denim just gives the shoe a completely different feel.

This one also lands a lot quieter than the brighter Harden colorways that usually get most of the attention.

It is still a basketball shoe at its core, but this version has more of an off-court feel than most Harden releases. The materials push it in that direction without making it look like a separate lifestyle model.
