COSTS and Vans are working together again, this time using the Authentic and Slip-On to spotlight traditional Chinese weaving. Both shoes feature textured uppers inspired by dragon boats and bamboo weaving, replacing the plain canvas usually associated with the two models.

The colors come from materials tied to the same tradition. COSTS says bamboo and zongzi leaves influenced the palette, which gives the collection a mix of green and natural tones that fit the woven construction.

The Authentic and Slip-On still keep their familiar shapes, so the new upper does not completely change either model. Instead, the weaving becomes the main design detail, with COSTS branding placed on the heels. Two matching T-shirts are also included in the collection.

The COSTS x Vans Authentic and Slip-On will release August 29, 2026, exclusively through COSTS in China. A wider global release has not been announced.
