The design leans into the Jason Kidd Select GBB team identity with a loud mix of neon pink, purple, black, and white. First released in February 1997, the Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian” is now expected to return in 2027 as part of the colorway’s 30th anniversary. The pair debuted alongside four other OG styles, then spent years in the Jordan Brand vault before making its retro return in 2012.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 12 drew inspiration from Japan’s Rising Sun flag. This influence appears through the signature stitched lines that radiate across the upper. The “Obsidian” edition stands out thanks to its deep navy leather base paired with clean white overlays and Carolina blue accents. Those UNC-inspired details reference Michael Jordan’s college roots and give the sneaker a refined yet sporty look.

When it first released, the “Obsidian” colorway broke away from the traditional Chicago Bulls palette that defined most early Air Jordans. Because of that, it became the only original Air Jordan 12 colorway never worn by Michael Jordan during an NBA game. Despite that distinction, the design quickly earned respect among collectors for its clean layout and versatile color blocking.

The model returned once before in June 2012, retailing for $160. A low-top variation also appeared in 2004, but the classic high-top version has not seen a wide retro release since the 2012 drop. Air Jordan 10 “Red Steel” Returns March 2027

The Air Jordan 10 “Red Steel” is set to return in Spring 2027, bringing back a clean mid-2000s colorway that many Jordan fans never forgot. First released in 2005, the pair never reached the same status as the model’s original runs, but its understated blocking and easy wearability helped it gain lasting appeal over time. With wearable pairs now much harder to come by, this retro gives both longtime collectors and newer fans another shot at a quietly respected release.

White tumbled leather is expected to make up most of the upper again, keeping the shoe close to the original release. UNDEFEATED, Converse, and Major League Baseball are teaming up on a Chuck 70 that digs into a real piece of baseball history. The “Brooklyn Dodgers” colorway looks back at the franchise before the move to Los Angeles and gives the shoe a story that feels more thoughtful than the usual team-inspired drop.

This duo takes inspiration from the Dodgers’ pre-1958 uniforms as the color black was once completely absent from their color scheme. The upper is decked out in black faux ostrich leather and the stitching and embroidery add extra definition and wear to the shoe. A large B logo patches the side, branding from Brooklyn hits the tongue and custom Converse x UNDEFEATED x Dodgers plates are added to the heel.

Baby blue branding on the inner tongue brings in that classic Dodgers look without making the whole design feel too on-the-nose. That is where the shoe gets it right. It clearly respects the past, but it still feels like something people would actually want to wear now instead of a pair built only around nostalgia.

Converse, UNDEFEATED, and MLB also gave the campaign a real New York connection by bringing in Kalil Justin, Ashley Alicea, and graffiti legend Futura. For the first time, Kith puts its own stamp on the vintage indoor trainer, rolling out four new colorways while also bringing back the Samba and Japan with refreshed details. The drop keeps the collection rooted in adidas heritage, but the execution feels cleaner, softer, and more premium across the board.

Nike is revisiting one of LeBron James’ defining career moments with a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey set inspired by the 2015-16 championship season. Official images show a black Swingman-style jersey and matching shorts finished with gold and wine accents, echoing the look and feel tied to that historic title run.

The jersey keeps things clean with a large Cavaliers “C” logo across the chest, LeBron’s No. 23 on the front and back, and James lettering across the rear. A special signature patch near the hem highlights the commemorative angle, directly referencing Cleveland’s 2015-16 season and giving the piece a more collectible feel than a standard team issue.

Matching shorts continue the same theme with black mesh construction, gold trim, and classic Cavaliers branding on the leg. The overall setup feels rooted in the era without copying the exact on-court uniform, instead translating that championship identity into a more wearable retail format.

Nike is taking a straightforward route with the latest Air Liquid Max “Triple Black”, but the shoe still feels anything but plain. The color scheme stays fully black from top to bottom, yet the mix of finishes keeps it from looking flat. Mesh covers most of the upper, while glossy molded pieces wrap the mudguard and heel, giving the design a slick, modern feel.

Colors are understated as usual, allowing the silhouette to pop more. A black Swoosh fades into the side panels, tongue branding is also subtle and the entire upper features a tactile texture that pops more in close ups. Detailing that texture creates a slight scaled effect on the shoe in some photos, giving this blackout iteration just a bit more character.

Speaking of the outsole, that’s definitely the talk of the show. Nike equipped this release with a full-length Air unit that’s comprised of bubble-like pods spanning the entire bottom. This alone really sets the shoe apart from your typical Air Max offerings. Peeking through, the translucent outsole features a smoky finish that continues the dark color scheme without going overboard.

adidas SPZL is loading up Spring/Summer 2026 with a six-piece drop that feels made for people who still care about the brand’s deeper archive. Instead of forcing one theme across every pair, this set moves through different eras and shapes, which gives the release more personality.

The PUMA MB.05 “Showtime” brings full LaMelo Ball energy in a colorway that refuses to blend in. Poison Pink floods the upper, tongue, laces, midsole, and outsole, giving the shoe a bright, animated look from every angle. Yellow Alert cuts through that pink-heavy base with sharp graphic hits, while Ultra Blue adds contrast across the branding, text details, and outsole to make the entire design pop even harder.

Mesh layers on synthetic panels provide some texture to the upper, but it’s those cutout side panels that really take it over the top. The slashes expose striped underlays that lend speed, aggression and a dash of the future. The serrated midfoot strap provides additional attitude, highlighted by the stitched word art throughout the molded piece.

Pokémon x Target Collection Celebrates 30 Years With a Nostalgic Kanto-Inspired Drop

Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an extensive collection coming to Target. While not limited to just clothes, the assortment will feature over 100 pieces spanning apparel, accessories, home goods, electronics, candies, snacks, toys and more when it launches later this year.

The Starter’s Kanto pullover jacket appears to be one of the heavier hitters in the drop. Joe Jonas wears it in the campaign, and the design pulls straight from the original games with a blue, red, and yellow color scheme. Hidden on the pouch pocket flap are the eight Kanto Gym Badges, which gives the jacket a nice extra detail without overdoing it.

The rest of the collection keeps that same nostalgic feel. Target mixed in collabs with familiar names like Mead, Caboodles, Lip Smacker, and Starter, while the accessories side adds fun stuff like Trapper Keepers, kickballs, Butterfree hair clips, 151-piece puzzles, and blind box water bottles inspired by Water-type Pokémon.

Target is also treating the launch like a bigger event in select stores. Target SoHo in New York City will host interactive experiences, giveaways, photo moments, and character-themed activations tied to the release.

The Pokémon x Target collection drops in two parts. Drop 1 arrives May 2, 2026 in stores and May 3rd online, while Drop 2 follows on June 6th.

Davion Mitchell Debuts The UA Curry Fox 3 Before De’Aaron Fox

Davion Mitchell gave the next Under Armour De’Aaron Fox signature shoe an unexpected on-court debut, wearing what appears to be the UA Curry Fox 3 during Miami’s Play-In Tournament loss. While many expected De’Aaron Fox himself to introduce the model first, Mitchell ended up providing the first real in-game look at the upcoming signature sneaker before its official rollout later this year.

The UA Curry Fox 3 keeps the sleek, speed-focused shape seen on Fox’s earlier signature models, but the design has clearly evolved. A striped upper runs from heel to toe, giving the shoe a sharper sense of movement, while the low-cut build stays true to the quick guard identity that defines Fox’s line. The pair shown on court used a bright gradient mix of light blue, pink, and black, giving it a color scheme that instantly stood out under the lights.

Underfoot, the model appears to keep Under Armour’s Flow setup, though the sole unit looks more segmented than before. Forefoot and heel pods give the sneaker a more traditional performance structure compared to earlier Fox models, suggesting a slight shift in how the shoe handles support and transition. One of the more notable early details is the Curry branding, though reports suggest the retail version will swap that out for standard Under Armour branding by the time it officially launches.

The timing of this debut only adds more intrigue around De’Aaron Fox’s next signature release. With Fox heading into the postseason with San Antonio, attention now shifts to when he will lace up the UA Curry Fox 3 himself.

For now, this first look gives fans an early preview of what Under Armour has lined up for one of its fastest-rising signature athletes.
