Nike Basketball’s GT (“Greater Than”) series continues to push innovation. The latest addition, the Nike GT Future, made its debut during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025, worn by Wale. This new silhouette blends elements from early 2000s basketball sneakers, such as the Air Foamposite One and Zoom Hyperflight, creating a futuristic yet nostalgic design.

The Nike GT Future “Copper Egg” is a standout colorway, introduced by Nike footwear designer Frank Cooke. It features a one-piece molded Foamposite upper with a striking iridescent copper finish. White Swoosh logos appear on the tongue and lateral heel, adding contrast. Completing the look, a Silver outsole enhances the sleek aesthetic.

Nike has not announced an official release date for the Nike GT Future “Copper Egg” yet. However, the sneaker is expected to launch in a “Black” colorway during Holiday 2025. It will be available at select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com for $190 USD.
