Nike is bringing another Marvel-inspired classic back from the vault with the return of the Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic” in Summer 2027.

Originally released in 2006 as part of Nike’s “Fantastic Four” Pack, the “Mr. Fantastic” Air Max 90 takes its look from Reed Richards, the stretch-powered leader of Marvel’s First Family. The 2027 retro will mark the first time this colorway has returned since its original run, joining other comeback releases from the pack, including the Air Max 95 “Human Torch” and Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” colorways.

The shoe sticks to the Fantastic Four theme with a Harbor Blue upper paired with matching leather overlays. White detailing appears on the midsole, lining, and parts of the upper, while Military Blue accents finish the look. The color mix ties back to the classic blue-and-white uniforms worn by the Fantastic Four.

Nike Air Max 90 Mr. Fantastic 2027 Release Date

The Nike Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic” is expected to release Summer 2027 at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com. The retail price is set at $155.

In closing, the return of the “Mr. Fantastic” Air Max 90 gives longtime Nike and Marvel fans another chance at one of the more memorable pairs from the original Fantastic Four Pack.
