The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” is set to return for Holiday 2026, bringing back one of the model’s best-known non-original colorways.

First released in 2006 as part of Nike’s Marvel-inspired “Fantastic Four” collection, the black-and-white pair made its first comeback in 2016. The upcoming release will mark its third appearance at retail and arrives in time for the colorway’s 20th anniversary. Other shoes from the original pack, including the “Human Torch” and “Mr. Fantastic”, are also rumored to return in 2027.

Interest surrounding Doctor Doom has picked up again ahead of Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, which is arriving to theaters in December 2026 with Robert Downey Jr. taking on the role.

The 2026 retro will stay close to the other versions featuring a solid black Foamposite shell covering the upper, with more black worked into the eyestays, tongue, laces, and carbon fiber shank. White appears on the oversized Swoosh, lining, branding, and rubber outsole, keeping the sharp two-tone look intact.

This release is also expected to feature a larger side Swoosh and an updated shape that more closely follows the original Foamposite mold.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro Dr. Doom 2026 Release Date

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” is expected to release on Black Friday, November 27, 2026, for $240 through Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
