Ja Morant’s fourth signature shoe is getting its first release overseas, with the Nike Ja 4 “Rise” expected to launch in China later this month.

The shoe comes covered in bright pink, with darker pink worked into the forefoot and midsole. Gold breaks up the color across the large Swoosh, side panels, and smaller branding details. There is not much subtle about the colorway, but that is clearly the point.

Nike also changed up the shape for the Ja 4. It still has the low-cut build Morant’s line is known for, though the upper looks cleaner and less bulky than the earlier models. A sock-like collar sits around the ankle, the lacing system has been cut down, and the molded side panels give the shoe a more finished look.

Most of the attention will probably stay on the pink and gold color combination, especially with this being one of the first looks at the new model. The “Rise” colorway gives the Ja 4 a bold introduction without trying to do too much beyond the colors and updated shape.

The Nike Ja 4 “Rise” is expected to release in China on July 31st. A release outside the region has not been announced.
