Nike Metcon 10 Debuts August 2025

The Nike Metcon 10 is the next step in Nike’s quest to improve its training shoe. It is the first redesign of the iconic series with a focus on power and explosiveness. The most significant feature update is the use of ReactX foam in the underfoot layer. The foam makes this new Metcon more plush and responsive, perfect for any explosive movement, including sprints and box jumps.

In the upper, there’s an improved version of the Hyperlift plate to give athletes additional heel stability, while maintaining flexibility. Combined with a reshaped sole and a roomier toe box, these features offer improved traction and control for lifts and transitions.

Durability has been improved with abrasion-resistant prints in high-wear areas. A redesigned midfoot band and a TPU heel clip also improve lockdown and lateral support for added foot stability.

Other features to note are a lace-lock system that tucks away your laces for a tangle-free workout. There’s also a grippier forefoot rubber along with outsole cut-outs to help trim weight and improve flexibility.

The Nike Metcon 10 releases August 4, 2025 at $155 USD. It will be available on Nike.com and at select retailers that specialize in training footwear.

Nike has improved on an already popular shoe in the Metcon 10. There are a number of small but meaningful upgrades for those who train hard.

adidas Honors Ozzy Osbourne’s Last Concert With Birmingham Tribute Sneaker

The final live performance of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, in Birmingham, England, was also fated to become a legacy moment of its own as the Black Sabbath lead signer passed away today at 76 years old.

adidas and Aston Villa Football Club partnered to commemorate the event with a special edition sneaker, adidas Birmingham Ozzy Osbourne. The shoe was a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance limited to only 121 pairs.

Made to commemorate the legendary frontman’s homecoming, the limited-edition adidas Birmingham is filled with details in every corner of the shoe. The black leather and suede upper is accented with deep purple Three Stripes as a nod to Black Sabbath’s style and vibe. Ozzy’s own logo is found on the tongue while bat graphics take flight across the insoles. “Birmingham” and “Villa Park” are embroidered on both sides of the shoe in gold thread.

121 is the area code for Birmingham which is the home of this sneaker. Hidden inside the tongue, 05.07.2025 is printed. This is the date of the band’s Back to the Beginning reunion. It was the final live performance Ozzy Osbourne would ever play. These details mean the adidas Birmingham Ozzy Osbourne was truly a limited shoe made for friends, family and close collaborators only.

adidas designer Joe Ling revealed there will be no retail release of the shoe. This makes it one of the rarest Ozzy Osbourne adidas collaborations to date.

In terms of story-telling, design and ultimate meaning, this shoe hits all the right notes. A perfect ending for a rock legend who always forged his own path.

Jalen Hurts Debuts Jordan Trunner O/S “Infrared” Ahead of NFL Season

NFL training camps have been opening up and, already making headlines, is Jalen Hurts and his footwear. The Super Bowl MVP arrived fully laced in Jordan Brand’s latest showcasing the “Infrared” Jordan Trunner O/S. The Trunner gets a high energy makeover from the usual ACG-style aesthetic with this vibrant red colorway.

This is the fourth known version of the Trunner O/S, with the previous versions being “Cave Stone”, “Brown”, and “Pink”. Jordan Brand has taken a more strategic approach to this release by bringing it to the attention of select individuals such as @sneakerdenn and Vashti Aliyah Usry for early previews. Now, Hurts’ high-profile appearance further signals the model’s growing importance within the brand’s lifestyle portfolio

The new “Infrared” model appears to dial-up the energy of the Trunner. In this red colorway, tonal blocking along with staple Jordan design elements such as the large forefoot strap and tech-runner midsole are evident. This model does a great job of walking the fine line of performance and lifestyle, much like how Hurts can do on and off the field.

The details of the drop of the “Infrared” haven’t been disclosed but the Jordan Trunner O/S is slated to drop in October 2025 for $115 USD.

JJJJound x Salomon XT-6 Releasing in Two Colorways

JJJJound’s run of impressive footwear launches in 2025 continues with a refreshed partnership with Salomon. The Montreal-based studio followed their critically acclaimed release of the XT-Wings 2 with an all-black XT-6 whose style is much darker and more audacious.

The JJJJound Salomon XT-6 is noticeably different from its earthy predecessor, making a more aggressive statement with a black upper. Salomon’s iconic tricolor tongue stripe makes an appearance, along with contrasting touches of red on the heel branding and the “LAB” logo on the toe of the shoe. The blend of logos is simple but charged, in keeping with each brand’s distinct style.

Functionally, this feels like a much sturdier and more race-ready iteration compared to the XT-Wings 2, which the brand previously released. The XT-6 would work just as easily for the city as for the trail and it makes a statement in a way that’s forceful but not aggressive, very much in keeping with JJJJound’s subtle aesthetic.

The JJJJound x Salomon XT-6 is expected to release in Fall 2025 through through JJJJound’s official website followed by a global launch on Salomon.com.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” 2025 Officially Revealed

Nike will continue to revisit old favorites with the Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” returning in August 2025. The retro drop pays homage to the original colorway that originally released in 2007 and quickly became a fan favorite due to its popular styling.

The 2025 release will offer up the same deep black Foam shell and also reintroduces the fan favorite red translucent bottom, as opposed to the matte red outsole we saw on the “samples” from Nike’s most recent SNKRS Showcase product preview.

The Swoosh logos, heel tabs, and tongue piping also receive a red hue. The black suede eyelets and mesh tongue of the shoe only further accentuate its rugged look and feel. It also pairs these aesthetics with carbon fiber midfoot shanks.

In recent years, there have been some underwhelming Foamposite colorways. However, when it comes to the “Cough Drop,” its styling is further proof that certain styles are forever. The shoe still holds up today as it pairs its heritage design with a street-ready colorway.

Nike Air Foamposite One Cough Drop 2025 Release Date

UPDATE 7/22/25: Nike has officially released photos of the 2025 Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” ahead of its August 15th release.

The retro keeps most everything the same as the original 2007 design, except for one detail. Instead of the matte red outsole that was shown in Nike’s Fall/Holiday 2025 SNKRS Showcase, the final release switches back to the translucent red sole that was seen on the original release.

The rest is all exactly as it was on the OG version. This includes the black Foamposite shell, the carbon fiber shank and those vibrant red details.

Jordan Spizike Low Upgraded in Bold Blue Void and Hot Lava

Jordan Brand pays homage to the Spizike silhouette with a brand new low-top colorway this Fall. The Jordan Spizike Low “Blue Void/Hot Lava” marries familiar design cues with fresh energy.

Tumbled leather keeps the upper light and clean while elephant print overlays surround the toe box and heel. A sapphire Blue Void base encompasses the sockliner, heel clip, and outsole, setting a striking foundation for the sneakers. Eyelets and lace locks feature a lighter blue for contrast.

Hot Lava illuminates Jumpman branding on the tongue and insole while a matching heel pull tab adds a splash of color at the back. Iconic Spizike medallion badges on the heel pay tribute to Mars Blackmon and the silhouette’s movie origins. A midsole in Sail rounds out this vintage-inspired look.

Dropping this Fall 2025, the Jordan Spizike Low “Blue Void/Hot Lava” will be available for $165. Releases at Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com.

While previous Spizike colorways leaned heavily on legacy, this iteration sharpens that approach. The use of bold tones, textures, and contrast form a dynamic look.
