The Air Jordan 3 is getting a Christmas makeover this November, and this one is just for kids. Called the “Santa” colorway, the shoe borrows its red, white, and black colors from Santa’s outfit, including a fuzzy lining that you wouldn’t normally find on a Jordan 3. There’s even a reference to an old Nike Christmas ad from 1985, back when the Air Jordan line was just getting started.

Looking at the photos, nearly all of the upper is covered in University Red leather, with darker Gym Red around the toe and heel. The tongue and eyestays are white, giving the black laces a little contrast against the red leather. A red Jumpman is stitched onto the tongue, and underneath is a white midsole with a visible Air unit and black rubber outsole.

The fuzzy black material around the ankle is meant to resemble Santa’s boots, but the insoles might be the more interesting part of the shoe. They show an image of the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” from Nike’s 1985 Christmas advertisement, bringing a little history into the holiday theme. On the back, there’s a gold Jumpman with AIR lettering on a black heel panel, surrounded by dark red overlays.

Air Jordan 3 Santa Release Date

The Air Jordan 3 “Santa” will release on November 21, 2026, in grade school ($155), preschool ($95), and toddler ($80) sizes. Adults will have the Air Jordan 3 “Not Nice” to look forward to, with that pair also releasing on November 21.
