New Balance 2000 “Metallic” Pack Brings Back ’90s Graphics

Published on

New Balance is bringing some old-school ’90s graphics to the 2000, including that teal design you probably remember seeing on paper cups back in the day. It’s one of two colorways in the upcoming “Metallic” Pack, with the other taking a completely different route with red, orange, and yellow flames.

The “Metallic Blue” comes with teal graphics across a black mesh upper, bringing back the look of those old disposable cups. The “Metallic Orange” goes in a different direction, using a mix of red, orange, and yellow to create a flame pattern. Outside of the graphics and colors, both versions share the same construction and overall layout.

The retro references go back to the original New Balance 2000, which borrowed elements from translucent electronics popular around the turn of the millennium. Early iMac computers, Game Boys, and other Y2K technology helped shape its first blue colorway. The upcoming releases move away from electronics but keep the focus on recognizable designs from that period.

Both colorways from the New Balance 2000 “Metallic” Pack are scheduled to release during Fall/Winter 2026 through New Balance and select retailers for $170 each.
