The New Balance KAWHI 5 only reached stores in October, but we’re already getting a look at more colorways of Kawhi Leonard’s fifth signature shoe. Among them is “Slate Grey,” which brings a familiar New Balance combination to the basketball lineup with grey across the upper and white and off-white details throughout.

Most of the contrast comes from those lighter shades along the sides and sole. Grey remains the main color, with no bright accents breaking up the upper. The off-white sections give the sole a slight variation from the white details above, keeping all three colors close without making the shoe entirely monochromatic.

Dual-density FuelCell cushioning sits underfoot alongside a Y-shaped TPU plate, retaining the setup introduced with the KAWHI 5’s debut. This is another color option for the existing model, with the same cushioning and plate construction.

The shoe first appeared during the 2026 All-Star Game, months before its October retail launch. That gap between the reveal and release has now given way to a quicker run of new colorways, with “Slate Grey” following shortly after the first pairs hit shelves.

The New Balance KAWHI 5 “Slate Grey” is currently listed on retail calendars for November 13, 2026, at $160.
