New Balance Japan celebrated their 14th Anniversary with a plaid-edition of the 1300. Now, it appears that they’re using the similar fabric on this new 997 model.

This offering of the New Balance 997 comes constructed in a mix of leather and suede detailed with plaid patterns covering the toe box, collar, and tongues. Bold Yellow “N” logos outlined in Grey atop a two-tone midsole and Black rubber outsole completes the design.

Already available in Japan, it’s currently unknown if this New Balance 997 “Plaid” colorway will release in the states on NewBalance.com.
