atmos Designer Koji Wants to Change the 2017 Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant”

During Nike’s recent Air Max Day “Vote Back” campaign, it was the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant” that won the contest and will be returning in 2017.

The shoe was designed by atmos head designer known as, Koji, would have some interesting thoughts to say about the 2017 retro release of the collaboration.

In a recent interview with Hypebeast, Koji shared his thoughts of the release and what he would like to do with it.

Have you considered updating the shoe with new colors or new materials?

“As I said, it will be released next year. It would be very interesting if I could change some design or materials for the new Air Max 1 “Elephant” 2017 ver. I’m not sure it would be approved but I’m curious… (laughs)”

It’s unsure if Nike will allow him to take control of this release, but if he does you can expect something a bit different than what we got when the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 “Elephant” first debuted.
