Jalen Brunson’s Nike Kobe 5 Protro “NY vs. NY” is no longer looking like a Knicks-only player exclusive. After appearing on court during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the pair is now expected to receive a public release as part of Nike Basketball’s Summer 2026 lineup.

The colorway connects Brunson’s New York background with Nike’s long-running “NY vs. NY” tournament series. Each summer, the program puts a spotlight on the city’s outdoor basketball scene, from packed parks and neighborhood rivalries to the nonstop energy that comes with New York hoops.

Menta green covers most of the upper and gives the shoe a look that loosely recalls the Statue of Liberty. Blue Glow and Orange Horizon accents bring in familiar New York basketball colors, while splatter details run across the overlays. Matching laces, a translucent outsole, and the Kobe 5’s low-cut shape finish the design.

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “NY vs. NY” releases August 4, 2026, exclusively at select Foot Locker stores. The shoe will be available in men’s sizing for $190.
