New Balance is back in London Marathon mode, and Dover Street Market gives the FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 a much darker feel. The shoe first showed up at last year’s race on the feet of Olympic gold medalist Alex Yee, so this release brings the model right back to the moment that introduced it. Instead of going loud, DSM takes the opposite route and strips everything down with an almost all-black finish that feels exactly in line with its style.

The Dover Street Market x New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5 still looks every bit like a serious race shoe. Black takes over the upper and midsole, but there is also a deep plum shade underneath that keeps the color from looking flat. The build stays lightweight, the FuelCell setup is still there underfoot, and the outsole keeps that fast, aggressive look that makes it clear this pair was made to perform. Dover Street Market branding on the insole adds the final touch without pushing the collaboration too hard.
