New Balance is giving the 991v1 a full suede treatment for Fall/Winter 2026, dressing the Made in UK runner in a rich “Coffee” colorway built around different shades of brown.

The upper is almost all brown suede, with a mix of darker and lighter shades keeping it from looking flat. Some of the panel edges are left a little raw, giving the shoe more of a lived-in feel. Tan laces, cream lining, and white stitching around the tongue add just enough contrast without taking away from the brown-heavy look.

More 991 branding appears on the heels in white, matching the embroidered “new balance 991” logos across the tongues. The mostly tonal upper is broken up underneath by an off-white midsole, giving the darker suede some separation.

ABZORB cushioning remains visible through semi-translucent tan sections at the forefoot and heel. A black and grey rubber outsole handles the bottom, keeping the finishing touches fairly neutral against the warmer brown upper.

The New Balance 991v1 Suede “Coffee” releases during Fall/Winter 2026 via NewBalance.com and select retailers. The retail price is set at $275.
