Jaylen Brown’s 7UICE x Bape STA Still Has Some Boston in It

Published on

Seeing Jaylen Brown in a Philadelphia 76ers jersey is going to take some getting used to, especially after all those years with the Celtics. But while fans are still wrapping their heads around the move, Brown already has something happening in Philly outside of basketball. He’s teamed up with A Bathing Ape through his 7UICE clothing brand for a new BAPE STA, and the sneakers are getting an early release at a local Philadelphia shop.

The shoes themselves still have a bit of Boston written all over them, mainly because of the green piping running across the black patent leather upper. There’s also a large white star on the sides and a 7UICE logo stamped on the heel. Considering how long sneaker collaborations usually take to put together, this one was probably already in the works before Brown left the Celtics. Either way, the black, green, and white combination keeps things pretty simple.

Brown actually has some history with BAPE going back to 2024, when he wore a custom chrome Skate STA during his public criticism of Nike. That was before he started his independent 741 footwear brand, so this new release marks his first official sneaker collaboration with A Bathing Ape.

The Jaylen Brown x 7UICE x BAPE STA will first release October 17, 2026, at Lapstone & Hammer in Philadelphia during a special meet-and-greet event. The first 50 people in line will get a chance to meet Brown and purchase the sneakers before everyone else. A wider online release is scheduled for October 18.
