BAPE is teaming up with Disney for a new Mickey & Friends collection arriving this August. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse lead the first round of apparel, with classic Disney artwork mixed into BAPE and BABY MILO graphics across T-shirts, crewnecks and other pieces.
Bobby Kim gave an early look at the collaboration in late July on Instagram. The Hundreds co-founder now works as Global Creative Director at Disney Consumer Products, and his background in streetwear carries over to the project. Instead of giving the characters a major makeover, the collection pulls from older Disney imagery and works it into BAPE’s familiar graphic-heavy approach.
Official images have since revealed more of what’s coming. Mickey is featured throughout the men’s range, while Minnie appears on the women’s side. Some pieces keep things fairly simple with large character artwork and BAPE branding. Others bring BABY MILO into the mix, putting the two worlds together more directly.
The collection also goes beyond the pieces shown so far. This is being treated as the first installment of the Mickey & Friends project, so Mickey and Minnie won’t be the only Disney characters involved. More are expected to show up as the collaboration continues.
BAPE and Disney have crossed into similar territory before through character-driven streetwear, but this release puts the focus squarely on the Mickey & Friends cast and vintage-style artwork. Bobby Kim’s involvement also gives the project a direct connection to someone who has spent years working in streetwear before taking on his current role at Disney.
The first BAPE x Disney Mickey & Friends Collection releases Saturday, August 22, 2026, through BAPE STORE locations and BAPE.com. Additional Disney character releases are expected to follow.
