New Balance is working the 1890 into its Fall/Winter 2026 lineup with a dark burgundy colorway that fits right into the model’s early-2000s runner styling.

Deep burgundy mesh covers the upper, layered with matching synthetic panels that wrap the toe and run through the sides. Silver reflective piping cuts through all that burgundy and also outlines the large “N” logos. The tongue, patterned laces, collar, and much of the heel come in black, with a brighter red tongue adding another shade to the mix.

Things get a little more detailed around the back. Glossy black pieces are mixed with textured mesh, silver “1890” branding appears near the heel, and a small New Balance badge sits down the center.

Burgundy carries straight into the chunky midsole, which has visible cushioning through the heel along with ABZORB for impact protection. The outsole switches over to dark grey rubber.

The New Balance 1890 “Burgundy” releases during Fall 2026 through NewBalance.com and select retailers for $190.
