Nike Air Liquid Max “Grey Fog” Puts Dynamic Air on Full Display

Published on

The Nike Air Liquid Max “Grey Fog” brings a softer palette to one of Nike’s more unusual new Air Max designs. Most of the shoe is covered in light grey and off-white, but the full-length Dynamic Air unit underneath gives it a much different look from a standard lifestyle runner.

That sole setup is the main story here. Dynamic Air first showed up on the Air Max Dn before Nike expanded the idea with models like the Dn8, and the Liquid Max pushes it into another direction with a series of rounded air chambers visible across nearly the entire bottom of the shoe..

Grey Fog and Platinum Tint cover the woven construction up top, with several knit patterns mixed together instead of one uniform mesh. The toe has a tighter weave, while raised sections along the sides add more texture through the midfoot. Metallic dark grey Swooshes sit on both sides and stand out more than anything else on the upper without adding another bright color.

Light grey rope laces run through molded eyelets, and the tongue carries Liquid Max branding near the top. Around the back, the knit transitions into a more structured heel with a molded support piece and vertical Air Max lettering.

A sculpted grey midsole sits directly above the Dynamic Air pods, leaving most of the unit exposed from the sides. The outsole is translucent as well and uses smaller black rubber sections in key contact areas for traction. From underneath, the individual air chambers are even more noticeable, with different shapes and sizes spread across the forefoot and heel.

The Nike Air Liquid Max “Grey Fog” is expected to release during Fall/Winter 2026 for $210.
