Mamba Day returns on August 24, and Nike is giving fans another chance to pick up several Kobe releases that were tough to get the first time around.
The annual date follows Kobe Bryant’s birthday on August 23 and has become a day to celebrate his life, career, and lasting impact on basketball. Nike has used Mamba Day in recent years for Kobe releases, restocks, and other special events tied to his legacy.
This year, several Kobe Protros from the past 12 months are returning through SNKRS. The group includes the Jalen Brunson x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “NY vs. NY”, Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 6 Protro, along with other recent pairs.
Nike is expected to drop the restock at 8:24 AM PT, or 11:24 AM ET, on August 24. The timing plays off Kobe’s two Lakers jersey numbers, 8 and 24.
Like most Kobe restocks, these probably won’t sit around for long. Fans looking for another shot at any of the returning pairs should be ready on SNKRS when the restock goes live.
