The long-awaited One Piece x Nike collaboration is finally official, bringing the world of Devil Fruits to the Air Max Plus.

Three colorways lead the collection, with each pair inspired by a different Devil Fruit from the series. The lineup includes the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Mera Mera no Mi, and Ope Ope no Mi, with Nike giving each Air Max Plus its own look based on the powers tied to the fruit.

Rather than simply changing the colors, Nike reworked the uppers to better match each theme. The Mera Mera pair pulls from the fruit’s fire-based abilities, while the Gomu Gomu version references its rubber-like powers. The Ope Ope colorway takes inspiration from the fruit’s “ROOM” ability. All three pairs also feature a Nike version of the Jolly Roger logo on the tongue.

Nike is also extending the collaboration beyond footwear. The apparel collection includes T-shirts, hats, jerseys, and a vest, with several pieces mixing One Piece artwork with old-school Nike graphics. Some shirts even recreate vintage Nike advertisements in a manga-style format.

One Piece Nike Air Max Plus Release Dates

The rollout is a little different depending on the sneaker. The Gomu Gomu colorway will be tied to a SNKRS poll running from August 23 through September 18. Select users who participate will be notified on September 18 and given the chance to enter a pre-order on September 25. China, Mexico, and Australia will receive a standard release instead, while Korea will have exclusive access on September 25.

The Mera Mera colorway will release through select retailers in Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Mexico beginning September 12.

Meanwhile, the Ope Ope pair will skip SNKRS completely. It will release through pop-up events and select retailers in the United States and Europe on September 19, including stops in cities such as Dallas, San Diego, Washington, DC, London, Milan, Madrid, Amsterdam, and Stockholm.

Pop-up events begin September 4 in Tokyo before moving to several cities around the world throughout September. The wider One Piece x Nike Collection launches globally on September 25 through SNKRS, with all three Air Max Plus colorways priced at $180.
