A canceled Nike Air Force 1 Low “PlayStation” project from 2024 has resurfaced through new in-hand photos, offering a closer look at a pair that never moved beyond the sample stage.
Talk of a return picked up in 2024 while Nike was bringing several hard-to-find releases back from its archives. The Wu-Tang Dunk High and UNDEFEATED Air Jordan 4 eventually reached stores, but the PlayStation Air Force 1 was reportedly dropped before production began.
The unreleased sample closely follows the original collaboration. Glossy black patent leather covers most of the upper, while blue and purple gradient panels wrap around the collar and heel. PlayStation logo patches appear on the sides, joined by purple laces, white Swooshes, red “AIR” lettering and yellow accents along the midsole. Black patent leather back tabs carry red Nike Air embroidery.
Air Force 1 collector @pgknows1 reports that only 10 pairs of the 2024 sample were produced, pointing to a project that likely ended during an early development phase.
The newly surfaced pair shows how closely Nike planned to recreate one of the Air Force 1s rarest collaborations, but the Nike Air Force 1 Low “PlayStation” still has no plans to release.
