Jalen Brunson’s Knicks-colored Kobes are finally getting official photos from Nike right as the new NBA season kicks off. He first debuted them back in January, and now we know the orange and blue pair is officially locked in for December.
The Jalen Brunson x Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Arancia” features a loud orange upper paired up with dark blue Swooshes. If you’re wondering about the name, Arancia literally just means orange in Italian. For this updated version, Nike chopped the silhouette down to a low-cut shape and packed it with modern Protro tooling.
Manhattan sneakerheads actually got a surprise shot at them on October 20 when Foot Locker held its “Rings-N-Things” pop-up. The drop went down right by Madison Square Garden while the Knicks were inside getting their championship rings and hoisting the banner.
Brunson had something special laced up for the actual game, too. Nike Basketball built him an all-gold Kobe 6 Protro “Ring Ceremony” PE to wear against the Philly 76ers. PJ Tucker actually gave everyone a first look at the gold-stitched, patched-up pairs before tip-off.
Brunson has been a staple in the Kobe lineup for a minute now, rotating through rare PEs and older models constantly. He’s officially one of the main guys leading the Nike Kobe line alongside Devin Booker and DeMar DeRozan.
