Nike showed two versions of the Pegasus in Shanghai, and the detail they share is easy to spot. The Pegasus Plus 2 and ACG Pegasus Trail both have an open-knit upper made with Radical AirFlow, a fabric Nike previously used on running tops and accessories. The two pairs debuted at the China International Import Expo.
The gaps in the knit form small air ducts that direct air toward the foot and help sweat evaporate during a run. Nike used the same construction on the trail pair, though how the upper handles wet conditions is still an open question.
The Radical AirFlow editions of the Nike Pegasus Plus 2 and ACG Pegasus Trail are expected in 2027. A release date has yet to be announced.
