Its form is inspired by the adidas Taekwondo, an athletic silhouette that features a low-profile, thin sole and a speed-lace system. On the other hand, the Ballerina is very much minimalist, compared to his previously bulky Forum Buckle and Response CL collaborative designs. It also has details such as the stitched size tags at the spine and suede overlays for an edge to its performance DNA for a street-ready aesthetic. This balance in contrast is what makes for what Benito does with sneakers.

Drawing inspiration from Puerto Rico’s flamboyán tree, which sports bright red flowers every summer, the “Vivid Red” colorway is full of energy.
