Brain Dead x adidas Samba Bowling Shoes Releasing in Cheetah and Snakeskin Colorways

UPDATE 9/9/26: Brain Dead and adidas have officially revealed their latest capsule, with the Samba Bowling getting two wild updates. One pair comes covered in leopard-print fur, while the other leans into snakeskin leather for a completely different look. Both styles release September 17 through Brain Dead, select adidas stores, the CONFIRMED app, and participating retailers for $250 each.

Original Story 7/28/26:
Brain Dead and adidas are bringing the Samba Bowling back into focus for 2026, revisiting a shoe that dates to the earliest stage of their partnership. Before the collaboration reached the public, the two brands created a friends-and-family bowling shoe that later helped shape the direction of their work together. A Dover Street Market-exclusive version followed in 2025.

The upcoming release includes two animal-inspired colorways built on the platformed Samba Bowling silhouette. The “Cheetah” pair uses a black and orange print similar to the version that first drew attention to the model, while the “Snakeskin” edition arrives in green and tan.

A thicker sole gives the shoe more height than a standard Samba, but the familiar terrace shape remains intact. The bold uppers do most of the visual work, giving each pair a different look without pushing the design too far from the original model.

Retailer listings have the Brain Dead x adidas Samba Bowling “Cheetah” and “Snakeskin” releasing on August 1, 2026. We haven’t seen either release date announced by the brands themselves yet so more info could surface.

Ayo Edebiri Joins New Balance as Its Latest Ambassador

Ayo Edebiri is New Balance’s latest ambassador, and it makes total sense. Born and raised in Boston herself, the actress, comedian, writer and director has plenty of history with the brand’s hometown.

Filmed locally in Boston by Tyler Mitchell, Edebiri’s debut campaign was styled by Danielle Goldberg. You can spot Boston Latin School and the Boston Public Garden, as well as a triple decker where Edebiri actually grew up in Dorchester.

The star shoe of the shoot is the New Balance 574, which makes plenty of sense considering just how iconic this sneaker is to New Balance’ legacy. For Edebiri specifically, New Balance was ingrained in her life well before this official partnership began thanks to the brand’s presence in Boston.

This partnership will span past one campaign though, as New Balance has stated that Edebiri will appear in future projects for the brand. She’ll also lend her creative hand to the company moving forward.

Jordan Brand Introduces The Jordan Tatum 5

Jordan Brand has announced details of the Tatum 5, the latest addition to Jayson Tatum’s signature collection. Most noticeably, the Tatum 5 dials back extras on the shoe in favor of enhancing support and stability while players move up and down in speed. Tatum 5 maintains a relatively minimal design, but increases support where it counts when cutting, planting your feet, or pivoting.

That strap going across the shoe’s upper really helps lock your foot in place during play. The front of the shoe features a 10-millimeter Air Zoom unit for comfort and a lively sensation underfoot, while the midfoot and heel incorporate molded overlays that bolster stability. Tatum 5’s outsole debuts a herringbone pattern on HART 2.0 rubber, allowing the traction on the shoe to remain familiar for athletes looking for reliable grip during quick cuts and stops.

Meanwhile, Jayson’s hometown is represented by the redesign of his signature No. 0 in the heel of the shoe. Taking inspiration from the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, the number is one of few personal touches on the shoe. Another personal touch comes from the Tatum 5’s colorways.

Boston’s skies at dawn and dusk served as the muse for the “Sunrise” and “Sunset” color schemes. While the inspiration behind the colors hints at Tatum’s morning workouts and time spent perfecting his game, Jordan keeps things simple with both looks.

The Jordan Tatum 5 “Sunrise” will launch September 24, 2026 in China with sizes expected to be full family, while the “Sunset” will launch later. A global release will follow for both colorways. Pricing is set at $130 for adults.

Air Jordan 1 Low Suede “Black/White” Keeps It Simple

Another black-and-white Air Jordan 1 Low is joining Jordan Brand’s 2026 lineup, this time with black suede taking over much of the upper.

The toe box, quarter panels, collar, and Swoosh all come in black suede. White stitching runs around the Swoosh, while pebbled white leather covers the mudguard, eyestays, and heel. White laces over the black tongue keep the contrast going without adding much else.

A black mini Swoosh sits near the lateral toe, with grey Jumpman branding up top and a black Wings logo stitched across the heel. The pair also comes with an extra set of black laces.

The sole keeps things basic with a white midsole and black rubber outsole. Most of the difference here comes from the materials, since the shape and color blocking stay close to what you’d expect from an Air Jordan 1 Low.

The Air Jordan 1 Low Suede “Black/White” is expected to release during Fall/Winter 2026.

Palmes Gives the Converse Jack Purcell Two Fall 2026 Colorways

Palmes and Converse are keeping things simple with their Fall 2026 take on the Jack Purcell. The Copenhagen label worked on two versions of the longtime court shoe, one in Mountain View green and another in Parisian Night navy.

Canvas and suede make up the uppers, with contrast stitching showing up across both colorways. Off-white laces and rubber soles give them a slightly older feel, while the Jack Purcell “smile” stays across the toe. Palmes and Converse branding is worked in without changing the shoe too much.

The Jack Purcell goes all the way back to the 1930s and has spent decades moving between sport and everyday wear. Converse has been bringing the model back through its First String program, and this Palmes project keeps that approach pretty straightforward.

The Palmes x Converse Jack Purcell pack releases September 14, 2026 for $100 each through Converse and select retailers.

Kallmeyer x Nike Tennis Centre Arrives in Grey Suede

Coming together during US Open season in New York, Kallmeyer and Nike have teamed up on a new Tennis Centre collaboration.

The New York luxury label worked with the Tennis Centre, a casual model built around the look of older tennis shoes. This pair keeps things pretty simple, using light grey suede across most of the upper instead of going heavy on color or branding.

A raw-cut tongue gives the shoe a slightly unfinished feel, with exposed stitching showing around the heel. Brass lace dubraes break up the grey up front and carry Kallmeyer branding without taking over the design.

The timing fits with the growing crossover between tennis and fashion, especially during the US Open when plenty of the attention around Flushing Meadows stretches beyond what happens on the court. Kallmeyer’s version feels more like an everyday sneaker than something made to actually play in.

The Kallmeyer x Nike Tennis Centre released September 2026 in women’s sizing through Kallmeyer for $160.

Tyrell Winston x adidas Climacool 4D Now Available

Tyrell Winston continues to bring his background in art and sports together, with the Climacool 4D serving as the latest sneaker in his ongoing work with adidas.

Winston gives the 3D-printed model a noticeably different look by adding a folded tongue inspired by classic soccer boots. The shoe is built around a bone-toned, off-white lattice structure, with deep red covering the Three Stripes and showing up again across the tongue and laces.

The project follows Winston’s Lightblaze POD with adidas from March 2026, while his history in footwear goes back even further through earlier collaborations with Reebok. His artwork has long pulled from sports culture, something that continues to carry over into the sneakers he works on.

This Climacool 4D also belongs to Winston’s new “The Athlete” collection. The idea centers around the less glamorous parts of being an athlete, including setbacks, growth, resilience, and the work it takes to keep going.

The Tyrell Winston x adidas Climacool 4D releases September 9, 2026, through adidas and select retailers for $180.

Zidane’s adidas Predator Elite Marks 30 Years With ZZ30 Details

Three decades with adidas is being marked with a new Predator Elite made specifically for Zinedine Zidane. The anniversary pair leans heavily on white and gold, with several “ZZ30” references worked into the boot instead of turning the design into something overly busy.

A white knit base covers most of the upper, backed by structured panels along the sides and glossy white support around the heel. Gold trim runs around the Three Stripes, while smaller adidas logos repeat inside the branding. More gold graphics are scattered across the upper and continue onto the sockliner.

Several details point directly back to Zidane. His silhouette is printed along one side of the fold-over tongue, and “ZZ30” branding appears in different spots across the shoe. Red, white, and blue on the insole reference the French flag and add one of the few breaks from the mostly white-and-gold color scheme.

The gold treatment even reaches the bottom, where the studs are finished with metallic tips. It’s a small detail, but one that carries the anniversary look through the entire boot.

The Zinedine Zidane x adidas Predator Elite “30 Years” is available now through adidas and select retailers. The cleat comes in unisex sizing with a retail price of $280.

Disney Cars adidas Cleats Celebrate 20 Years With Lightning McQueen and Mater

The 20th anniversary of Cars is putting Lightning McQueen and Mater back in the spotlight, and adidas is taking the celebration onto the football field. Two cleats make up the new collection, with each pair borrowing details straight from one of the movie’s most recognizable characters.

Lightning McQueen lands on the adidas Adizero Electric II in his familiar red, yellow, and orange colors. Graphics from the No. 95 race car cover the upper, while flames stretch along the sides. The Three Stripes use a yellow and orange fade that blends into the rest of the McQueen-inspired design.

Mater gets the adidas Adizero Impact II Mid, which fits his beat-up tow truck look with a rust-colored upper and teal accents. Googly eyes appear across the fold-over tongue, giving the cleat one of the more obvious character details in the collection.

The Disney Cars x adidas football cleats released September 6, 2026 at Dick’s Sporting Goods. The Lightning McQueen Adizero Electric II retailed for $130, while the Mater Adizero Impact II Mid was priced at $110.

Nike Book 2 “Be Legendary” Revisits Devin Booker’s Kobe Bryant Story

Devin Booker is bringing one of his most personal Kobe-inspired looks over to the Nike Book 2, with the “Be Legendary” colorway expected to arrive later this year.

The story goes back to 2016, when Booker faced Kobe Bryant during Kobe’s final season. After the game, Kobe gave him a signed pair of Kobe 11s with “Be Legendary” written on the shoe. Booker held onto that message and later worked it into a Kobe 4 PE he wore during the 2021 NBA Finals, followed by a Book 1 PE a few years later.

Devin Booker wears Nike Kobe 4 Be Legendary PE during the 2021 NBA Finals.

That purple setup now carries over to the Book 2. Lighter purple tumbled leather covers the lower part of the shoe, while darker ripstop takes over up top. A black patent leather Swoosh runs across the side, with more purple showing up on the laces, tongue, and textured sockliner.

There does not appear to be any “Be Legendary” text on the retail pair itself. Instead, the usual Book 2 details stay in place, including “Chapter Two” down the heel pull tab and Booker branding on the tongue. A grey speckled midsole sits underneath, finished off with an icy translucent outsole.

The Nike Book 2 “Be Legendary” is expected to release November 20, 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers. The pair will be available in men’s sizing for $145.

Patta x Crocs Classic EXP Clog Adds Graffiti Branding and Custom Jibbitz

Patta has worked with Nike plenty of times over the years, but its next footwear project heads in a different direction. The Amsterdam label is teaming up with Crocs for its own version of the Classic EXP Clog.

The collaboration starts with Crocs’ newer Classic EXP, a tougher take on the familiar clog built with a Vibram outsole. Patta pairs the rugged sole with a black fabric heel strap, keeping most of the darker details around the bottom of the shoe.

Desert camo covers the molded upper and gives the pair its most noticeable change. A large graffiti-style Patta logo sits across the forefoot, while a mix of custom Jibbitz adds more detail throughout. Among them is a brick wall marked with “tear down the wall” and a red hourglass carrying the words “time’s up.”

The Patta x Crocs Classic EXP Clog Vibram is expected to be part of the brands’ upcoming collaboration.

First Look at the Kendall Jenner x adidas Stan Smith Ballet

Kendall Jenner’s first adidas sneaker project is taking shape around the Stan Smith Lo Ballet. Early photos show a purple version of the ballet-inspired model with small gold details tied directly to Jenner.

The leaked pair is covered in a dusky purple shade, including the upper and interior. Gold branding is kept inside the shoe, with an adidas Trefoil on one insole and a “KJ” stamp on the other. There is no heavy co-branding across the outside, at least based on the first images.

Jenner first worked with adidas in 2017 and returned to the brand last year during a larger Superstar campaign that also included Samuel L. Jackson and Jennie. Her debut footwear project now moves over to the Stan Smith, a model adidas has started pushing more heavily again.

The Stan Smith Lo Ballet keeps the familiar shape of the original upper but changes the construction underneath. Traditional laces are replaced by a strap across the midfoot, while the lower sole gives the shoe more of a flat profile than a standard tennis sneaker. General-release colorways are already on the market, with several pairs becoming difficult to find through adidas.

Early information points to the Kendall Jenner x adidas Stan Smith Lo Ballet releasing sometime in 2027.

Sneaker Politics x adidas Handball Spezial “Polka Dot” Releases September 12th

Sneaker Politics is bringing polka dots back for another adidas project, this time covering the Handball Spezial in a mix of black, white, blue, and red.

Sneaker Politics already gave us a small look at this polka dot theme on its 20th anniversary adidas Samba, but that reveal kept most of the shoe under wraps. What we did see was mostly black and white. The Handball Spezial takes the same idea and opens it up with more color, while giving the Buddy Guy connection a little more room to come through.

The pattern is tied to Louisiana-born blues musician Buddy Guy. Before moving to Chicago, where his career would eventually take off, Guy reportedly told his mother he would return home one day in a polka dot Cadillac. He never ended up making good on that promise, but polka dots became a familiar part of his image through the clothes and guitars he used throughout his career.

Black, white, blue, and red dots are spread across the Handball Spezial, giving the old-school adidas model a much louder finish than its usual suede makeups. The connection to Guy also makes sense coming from Sneaker Politics, with both sharing roots in Louisiana.

The Sneaker Politics x adidas Handball Spezial releases September 12, 2026 through Sneaker Politics for $110.

Nike Vaporposite Pro “Texas Longhorns” PE Debuts for 2026 Season

Heading into the 2026 college football season, Texas is getting its own Nike Vaporposite Pro PE dressed in familiar Longhorns colors.

The Texas Longhorns Vaporposite Pro comes dressed almost entirely in white, leaving the school’s burnt orange to handle the contrast. The color lands on the Swoosh, collar, and cleated tooling underneath, while a custom “TEXAS” tongue label gives the pair its team-specific finish.

Introduced in late 2025, the Vaporposite Pro borrows the molded shell made famous by the Air Foamposite Pro and reshapes the idea for football. Nike has leaned further into that connection for the 2026 college season, giving several sponsored programs their own versions of the cleat.

Florida State and LSU have already shown off Vaporposite Pro PEs, but Texas takes a more straightforward route. There aren’t many extra graphics or patterns here. Most of the look comes from the familiar white and burnt orange combination, which works well against the molded upper.

The Nike Vaporposite Pro PE “Texas Longhorns” will be issued to players during the 2026 college football season and is not expected to receive a public release.

Nike GT Future “Triple Black” Releases Holiday 2026

Nike is bringing the GT Future back in an all-black colorway for Holiday 2026, and the look actually connects to one of the first pairs people ever saw.

AJ Dybantsa wore a similar version during Nike’s Future Game at 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, before the shoe had been officially introduced. Wale was also spotted in the model around that same time, which helped build some early curiosity around it. Nike later confirmed the GT Future uses full-length Zoom Strobel, forefoot Zoom Air, and Cushlon 3.0 cushioning.

Since then, a lot has changed. Dybantsa became the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and the GT Future has become a regular part of Nike Basketball’s lineup.

The Holiday 2026 pair keeps things very simple. Black covers nearly the whole shoe, including the upper, laces, and sole, with no real contrast added anywhere else.

The Nike GT Future “Triple Black” is expected to release during Holiday 2026 for $210.

The Air Jordan 11 MCS Cleats “DMP” is Getting a Restock

The Air Jordan 11 “DMP” is heading back to the baseball field in 2026, this time returning in its MCS cleat setup. It’s been two years since this version last released, while the sneaker it’s based on made its most recent comeback as the “Gratitude” in 2023.

Most of the familiar DMP look stays intact on the cleat. White fills the upper, black patent leather runs around the mudguard and gold details show up on the branding. Underneath, the usual translucent outsole is replaced with an off-white cleated bottom made for the diamond.

Baseball players have gotten a growing run of Air Jordan 11 options lately. “Legend Blue” and “Rare Air” have both been turned into cleats, along with a couple of darker “Blackout” pairs. Bringing the DMP colorway back adds one of the more recognizable Jordan 11 looks to that lineup again.

The Air Jordan 11 MCS Cleat “DMP” is expected to return during Fall 2026. A specific release date has yet to be announced.
