Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe “University Red” Releases October 6th

Nike and Jacquemus re-launch the icon. Meet the Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe.

Designed for 1970s distance runners, the Moon Shoe gets a Parisian edge with track DNA and luxe styling.

Bold University Red nylon upper, suede overlays, and crisp Cashmere Swoosh contrast. Unique lace loop stitched in the Swoosh is a nod to Jacquemus’ wink-wink minimalism. Branding on the heel and insoles also highlight the collaboration.

Inside, a Bicycle Yellow midsole and Gum Light Brown waffle sole honor Bill Bowerman’s early prototype work. Textured outsole, vintage orange box, co-branded dust bag, and ribbon packaging take this drop to serious collector-levels.

Jordan Trunner O/S “Psychic Blue” Expands Jordan Brand’s Lifestyle Lineup

Jordan Brand’s product portfolio is set to expand into the back end of 2025 with the addition of new silhouettes outside of the basketball archive. The Jordan Trunner O/S is one such addition, as an updated version of the original Trunner family, Michael Jordan’s first off-court sneaker collection.

Featuring Jordan’s now-signature layered suede mudguard, perforated mesh upper, and a moulded midsole for all-day comfort, the Trunner O/S is a recognizable modern take on an OG line. A TPU cage across the midfoot area harks back to the original Trunner silhouette, making for a performance inspired take on a lifestyle sneaker, a standout in a landscape full of Jordans.

Coupled with the technical design, the “Psychic Blue” colorway is a cool-toned, contrast-focused look. A University Blue mesh upper and Neutral Grey suede overlays are offset by black accents and Swooshes. Asymmetric reflective detailing and chunky outsole design round out the sneaker. The sporty yet wearable design language appears to be a strong direction for Jordan Brand.

The Jordan Trunner O/S “Psychic Blue” will release soon at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $115 USD.

GANNI x New Balance 1906L Releases Globally September 30th

UPDATE 9/25/25: The GANNI x New Balance 1906L releases globally on September 30th via NewBalance.com for $190 USD.

Original Story 9/22/25:
The GANNI x New Balance 1906L is the latest take on the slip-on silhouette dropping this fall. Set for release September 24th, the collaboration marries Danish design with New Balance’s athletic-focused style.

Yellow snakeskin on the toe and tongue is what makes this colorway pop. Golden pebbled texture is then accented by glossy black overlays. Chrome hardware gives the shoe a more futurist approach, while gum yellow heel and pull tab provide contrast. Overall, the silhouette feels like a sleek take on streetwear luxury, and shows the 1906L still has more style tricks up its sleeve.

For New Balance, this is the second major collaboration to drop on the 1906L. Junya Watanabe recently dropped a monochrome take on the silhouette last year, but the GANNI collab is a bolder collaboration. GANNI sneakerheads will likely appreciate the label adding its own playfulness to the design, while not deviating too much from the 1906L’s tech-forward roots.

The GANNI x New Balance 1906L drops September 24th via GANNI’s official online store. Expect a fast sellout based on snakeskin and luxury factor.

Tim Cook Spotted in Custom Sashiko Nike Vomero Plus at Apple Ginza

Apple made headlines this week not just for the iPhone 17, but also for an unexpected sneaker appearance. During the reopening of Apple Ginza in Tokyo, CEO Tim Cook showed up in a custom pair of Nike Vomero Plus sneakers crafted with sashiko embroidery.

Made in collaboration with a group of mothers from Otsuchi Town in Japan called Sashiko Gals, the design firm sought to honor traditional craftsmanship while bringing in elements from modern sneaker culture. They reimagined the Vomero with layer upon layer of indigo patchwork, raw stitching, and pops of orange that connect directly to the bold ZoomX midsole. The added details make the pair a standout, while also offering a nod to Japan’s history with sashiko embroidery. The combination of old and new feels right at home under Apple’s brand.

Interestingly, this sighting followed Travis Scott’s vintage Apple sneakers worn during the iPhone keynote, keeping the spotlight on sneaker culture within Apple’s orbit. Cook’s one-of-one pair was reportedly created exclusively for the Ginza reopening, making it a true rarity. Atmos creative lead Hirofumi Kojima captured close-up images, giving sneakerheads a rare glimpse at a potential grail.

At this stage, there’s no indication the sashiko Nike Vomero Plus will see a public release. Still, this moment highlights how custom projects can bridge tech, culture, and fashion in surprising ways.

Nike Ja 3 “White/Coconut Milk” Releases October 9th

UPDATE 9/25/25: The Nike Ja 3 “Coconut Milk” officially releases October 9th via SNKRS for $125 USD.

Original Story 7/16/25:
A new Nike Ja 3 colorway has surfaced, dressed in a clean White, Black, and Coconut Milk combination set to release in October 2025.

While it resembles the previous Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star 2.0”, this version opts for a much more cleaner look than other upcoming releases like the “Zombie” edition.

The upper is white knit, layered with jagged textures that resemble Ja’s logo. It’s simple but sharp. Coconut Milk tones on the midsole and outsole give it a smooth, off-white finish. A glossy black Swoosh cuts through the side. It’s a quiet look, but not boring.

It’s signature “TWELVE” branding is stitched in green on the heels as nod to Morant’s jersey number. The tongue features his logo in silver. Flip the pair over and you’ll find “1” and “2” stamped into the outsole, keeping things personal.

Performance-wise, ZoomX cushioning underfoot returns, built for stop-start moves and hard landings.

The Nike Ja 3 “White/Coconut Milk” will release on October 9, 2025 at select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $125 USD.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sushi Club” Releases September 30th

UPDATE 9/25/25: The “Sushi Club” Air Force 1 Low officially releases September 30th via SNKRS for $150 USD.

Original Story 8/18/25:
The Sushi Club x Nike Air Force 1 Low is back for Fall 2025, blending premium details with that clean white-on-white look fans never get tired of.

Sushi Club, created by Chris Stamp and legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, already dipped into AF1s with exclusive editions for its New York and Beverly Hills spots. Those pairs hit $275 and disappeared fast. This time, the brand is going wider, dropping a version that feels just as elevated but arrives at a more accessible $150.

The shoe doesn’t scream for attention, which makes it better. Tumbled leather runs across the base, while hairy suede Swooshes add texture without breaking the minimalist vibe. Small but sharp touches stand out — “Sushi Club” stamped into the panels, metallic lettering inside, and a lace dubrae shaped like chopsticks. It’s the kind of design move you catch up close, not across the street.

The Sushi Club x Nike Air Force 1 Low releases September 30, 2025 in unisex sizing at Sushi Club, select retailers, and Nike.com.

Nike Virgil Abloh Archive “The Codes” Exhibition in Paris Opens September 30th

UPDATE 9/25/25: Presented by Chloe and Mahfuz Sultan, “Virgil Abloh: The Codes” is an extension of the exhibition originally presented in Miami in 2022 and is now on view at Grand Palais, Paris from September 30th (Virgil’s birthday) to October 9th. The exhibition will be on display in Galleries 2.2 and 2.3, from 10 a.m. to 7: 30 p.m. every day, except for an early closing on Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. and a late closing on Oct. 3 until 10 p.m. Tickets are €15 (full price) and €7 (reduced price, 19-26 years old). Children of 18 and under can enter the exhibition for free. Tickets are available online and at the Grand Palais box office.

Original Story 9/8/25:
Nike Virgil Abloh Archive is making a homecoming in Paris this fall for “The Codes,” which opens September 30.

Few designers have left the impression on fashion and sneakers quite like Virgil Abloh. Since his passing in 2021, there’s a certain sense of incompletion when it comes to the projects left behind. But his signature style remains influential. To highlight Abloh’s work, Nike and the Virgil Abloh Archive have curated a major exhibition in Paris, allowing the late designer’s creativity to be showcased through never-before-seen pieces and rare samples.

“The Codes” will run from September 30 to October 10. The highlight of the show is the exhibition of Abloh’s signature Nike work, but the Nike Virgil Abloh Archive has prepared a range of experiential pieces including workshops, live performances, and screenings for visitors. The goal is to not only celebrate Abloh’s work but to use the cultural context to make it relevant to new audiences. His ability to bridge creativity with access is what made Abloh a cultural influencer in the first place.

Ahead of the show, GQ got a preview of what to expect. Some of the highlights include Air Force 1 prototypes that were never before seen in public. On display will be Louis Vuitton AF1s with embossed monograms, butter slides with Y2K finishes, and over-scale Swooshes in metallic. Abloh’s playful take on sneakers extends to some of the early ISPA-inspired mids and MCA/overlace pairs. Here, the influence is even more exaggerated, giving an idea of the path those iterations could have gone down. Most exciting for sneakerheads are the pair of Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “Canary” colorways. The sneakers were rumoured for some time, but never actually made a debut. Seeing them here will be a huge topic of discussion, at least among sneakerheads. Those details will be what people remember.

The Nike Virgil Abloh Archive “The Codes” opens on September 30 in Paris and runs through October 10.
