The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” has long been one of the most elusive sneakers in the Jordan x Virgil Abloh lineup. Initially teased at Virgil Abloh’s Figures of Speech exhibition in 2019, the vibrant yellow and white Air Jordan 1 instantly became a grail for collectors.

Recently, sneaker collector @depeche23mode provided an up-close look at this ultra-rare pair in a detailed unboxing. The sneaker, originally rumored for a 2020 release, never hit retail, leaving only a few sample pairs in circulation. A deadstock size 8 pair is even listed for a staggering $75,000.

While speculation suggested a 2025 release, recent reports indicate Jordan Brand will instead bring back another Off-White Jordan 1, potentially a re-release of the White “Euro” colorway for Holiday 2025. This means the Canary Yellow version will likely remain a mythical sneaker, only seen in collector showcases.

One unique feature of the sample is the Nike Golf hangtag, despite the shoe lacking a golf-specific outsole. This has led to speculation that Nike may have considered a crossover Off-White x Nike Golf collection, though nothing official ever materialized.

For now, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” remains an unattainable gem. Whether it ever gets an official release remains uncertain, but it continues to be one of the most coveted sneaker samples in the industry.
