Sneaker Talk: Let’s Talk – Air Jordan “Nike Air” Logo

The “Nike Air” logo was branded on every Air Jordan Release from 1985-1997. In 1997, Jordan Brand officially became their own, which they slowly started to go away from us seeing any Nike branding on their releases. Up until 2001, is when Jordan Brand stopped their retros from having the OG “Nike Air” logo, which put a more value on the classic models. Throughout the years, we have seen a couple Air Jordan 1 releases return with the “Nike Air” logo, but have yet to see a return on the models 3-6.

Do you believe it’s time to return the “Nike Air” logo to upcoming Air Jordan Retro Releases? Ever since the Air Jordan 1 Hi “Banned” which featured the “Nike Air” logo, #sneakerheads have been waiting for Jordan Brand to feature the classic branding on other Air Jordans. What are your thoughts on this matter? If JB brought the “Nike Air” logo back, how-high of a demand would they be for you? Lastly, are you a fan of the “Nike Air” or “Jumpman” logo?

Rock ‘Em, Don’t Stock ‘Em

Here is an example of what could happen to your stock pair of kicks. Nowadays, #sneakerheads will buy two pair, one to rock and one to stock (of course we all heard the saying), although when you fall in love with a pair of sneakers, you just want to keep them fresh (understandable).

However, in this case @Heatonmyfeet and @KevinTranz busted out one worn since ’99 and the other stocked since ’99 pairs of the Air Jordan 4 “White Cement”. The pair that was stocked, ended up losing their toughness, while the other pair is still breaking necks. This necessarily doesn’t happen all the time, but the moral to this is, Rock Your Kicks (they’re no good sitting in a dark closet).
