Sneaker Talk: Air Jordan 6 “Slam Dunk”

The Air Jordan 6 “Slam Dunk” released in November 2014, taking its design from the Japanese basketball manga Slam Dunk. The shoe is based on Hanamichi Sakuragi, the red-haired main character who wore the Air Jordan 6 in the series. Jordan Brand also released a matching Jordan Super.Fly 3 and apparel as part of the collection.

Red covers the entire upper, with reflective 3M graphics showing Sakuragi and different scenes from the manga. The artwork is worked into the material and becomes more visible when light hits it. His Shohoku High School jersey number, 10, appears near the ankle in white and red.

The shoe also has an icy blue translucent outsole, a partially clear heel pull tab, and a translucent section on the tongue. A clear lace lock with a red Jumpman finishes the upper. Even the packaging was made specifically for this release, with manga illustrations and sketches printed across the box.

The Air Jordan 6 “Slam Dunk” hasn’t returned since its original 2014 release. Anyone still looking for a pair can check resale platforms such as StockX, where sizes may be available.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Pony Hair “Atomic Violet” Releases November 20th

Another hairy Air Force 1 Low is coming, and this one goes all-in on purple. The new “Atomic Violet” pair gives the fuzzy version of the classic sneaker a much brighter look.

Frank Cooker previously shared an early look at the shoe, which follows the orange colorway that surfaced before it. This pair uses Atomic Violet and Hyper Purple across the upper, sole, and the long fuzzy material covering most of the shoe.

The shape of the Air Force 1 Low stays familiar underneath all that texture. Most of the difference comes from the finish, with the extra-long material giving the upper a much rougher look than the usual leather version.

The purple color runs through nearly the whole sneaker, so there is not much contrast from one section to the next. That keeps the focus on the fuzzy construction and the unusual finish.

Air Jordan 3 Golf “Black Cement” Releases January 2026

The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” is coming back in January 2027, but this time it’s a golf shoe rather than the regular retro. From the black leather to the elephant print around the toe and heel, pretty much everything people remember about the original is still there. The biggest change is underneath, with a different outsole made for wearing on the golf course.

Elephant print wraps around the toe and heel, with red accents breaking up the black and grey. The shoe also sits a bit lower than the regular Air Jordan 3. Outside of those changes, there isn’t much separating the two when it comes to appearance.

Michael Jordan has been playing golf for decades, and plenty of his older sneakers have made their way onto the course. Jordan Brand has already released golf versions of several well-known Air Jordans, so the “Black Cement” isn’t exactly a surprise addition.

Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Mamba vs. Diamondback” Releases February 2027

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Mamba vs. Diamondback” is part of Nike Basketball’s plans for NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix next February. The shoe brings together Kobe Bryant’s Black Mamba nickname and the diamondback rattlesnake native to Arizona. Three other models are included in the collection: the Kobe AD Protro, Air Force 1 Low, and Dunk Low Protro.

The Kobe 5 Protro comes in Black, Desert Khaki, and Chile Red, with the colors arranged differently on each shoe. One side reverses the other, while red outlines the Swooshes. The black and khaki sections also switch places between the left and right shoes.

Snake graphics appear on the insoles, along with a snake-shaped lace jewel. The branding uses different colors on each shoe, following the same mismatched setup seen across the uppers.

The diamondback theme comes from Arizona, where the 2027 NBA All-Star Game will take place. Nike is using the same Black Mamba and diamondback concept across all four sneakers in the collection, with the Kobe 5 Protro being one of the featured pairs.

Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eagles” Honors Kobe Bryant’s Philly Roots

Are you a Philadelphia Eagles fan? Well, Kobe Bryant certainly was, and Nike is paying tribute to his love for the team with the Kobe 5 Protro “Eagles.” Kobe’s reaction to the Eagles winning the Super Bowl in 2018 while holding his daughter Bianka is still one of the most memorable moments from that night.

The shoe also has a deeper connection to Kobe and his daughter Gianna. In one of the last public photos of them sitting courtside together at a Lakers game, Kobe was wearing an Eagles beanie. That moment gives this Kobe 5 Protro a little more meaning beyond its Philadelphia-inspired colors.

Vanessa Bryant previously shared an early look at the Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eagles” alongside other upcoming releases. The shoe uses the team’s throwback Kelly Green color across the suede upper and synthetic heel cup, matching the Eagles’ classic uniforms.

Dark grey chenille Swooshes appear on the sides, with the textured material giving the logos a look similar to the team’s bird emblem. White accents are used throughout the rest of the shoe, keeping most of the attention on the green upper.

Union x Nike Dunk Low “Hide” Official Photos

Union covered the Dunk Low “Hide” in tan suede with brown leopard spots running from the toe box to the heel. Even the Swooshes carry the print. It stops just above the midsole, where a strip of plain suede wraps around the shoe.

The “Hide” shares the unlined construction of the other Dunks in the “Natural Selection” pack. You can wear it laced up or fold the soft heel down and slip it on like a mule. Yellow zigzag stitching runs beneath the UNION stamp on the tongue, and a small UN/LA tag sits beside the laces.

Following its October 30 debut at Union, the Union x Nike Dunk Low “Hide” releases on November 13, 2026, for $130.

AFEW x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 “Tara Hawk” Releases November 2026

Turn the AFEW x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 “Tara Hawk” in the light and the heel changes from purple to teal to gold. The Düsseldorf shop based its third Saucony collab on the tarantula hawk, a wasp that hunts tarantulas. Its orange wings account for the bright rubber underfoot.

A dark graphite base shows through honeycomb mesh that fades from pink through orange to yellow. The two sides of the shoe look different, too. A translucent cage wraps the inner side, while a thin teal outline traces the Saucony logo on the outside. There’s a clear window at the heel, just below the fuzzy collar, and a raised iridescent bubble on the tongue carries the AFEW name.

The teal from the logo shows up again in a swirl on the sockliner and on one of the three spare lace sets. The other two are magenta, one solid and one flecked with silver. All three come in an iridescent shoebox.

Nike Drops Three Colorways of the Air Force 1 Mid GTX Vibram

Nike went with Wheat, Summit White and Black for this winter’s Air Force 1 Mid GTX Vibram. Each pair has a waterproof GORE-TEX upper, and Nike pressed shallow dimples into the toe box to keep the familiar AF1 pattern. The ankle strap fastens with a G-shaped metal buckle stamped with “Air Force 1.”

The Wheat pair has a tan upper, matching laces and a black Swoosh. Most of the Total Orange is underneath, where it covers the tread from heel to toe. On the Summit White pair, a black Swoosh stands out against the off-white upper, while Blue Tint appears on the sole. The Black pair keeps the Swoosh tonal and uses Smoke Grey for the tread.

The Wheat and Black colorways dropped on November 5, 2026, with Summit White following on November 6. All three are available at Nike.com for $180 each.

The Swoosh is where you can spot the Tech Essential treatment on these three Air Force 1 Lows. A raised geometric pattern gives the logo some texture, and a small fabric tag hangs from its edge. All three keep the shape of Bruce Kilgore’s original low-top.

Of the three, Tarp Green has the most olive in the mix, with Light Army alongside hits of Light Menta and Metallic Silver. The black pair could pass for “Triple Black” at first glance, though its color listing includes Laser Orange. Grey Fog gets the lightest base of the bunch, paired with Bright Crimson.

All three Nike Air Force 1 Low Tech Essential colorways will be available during Holiday 2026 at Nike.com and select retailers for $115 each.

Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Cordura “Baroque Brown/University Red” Now Available

Nike went with Baroque Brown suede and a University Red Swoosh for this Cordura edition of the Zoom Vomero 5. Pale gray fabric covers the toe box and wraps around the collar. From the side, it looks almost solid, but the view from above shows a fine diamond pattern woven into the material.

Black overlays follow the shape of the toe and run up either side of the tongue. The brown rope laces pass through red fabric loops about halfway up, just below a black tongue label with gray Nike lettering and “Vomero 5” in red. Inside, a white Bowerman Series graphic is printed on each black insole.

The largest Swoosh stretches across the ribbed brown midfoot cage, with its tip reaching onto the gray collar. Farther back, a small Cordura re/cor tag sticks out of the seam where the fabric meets the suede. A red embroidered Swoosh sits above the glossy black heel cage, where a row of small triangular openings reveals the fabric underneath. Nike kept the sole black from heel to toe, with Cushlon and Nike Zoom markings along the midsole.

Reebok DMX Trailzillo Revisits The 2000 DMX Armadillo

Reebok has pulled the DMX Armadillo out of its 2000 archives as the basis for the new DMX Trailzillo. The wavy design carries over, though the Trailzillo gets a heavier TPU cage and a Vibram outsole—two updates to the original trail-inspired shoe.

The cage wraps around the upper with thicker overlays that give the familiar curves more depth. DMX moving-air cushioning sits underfoot, paired with the Vibram rubber outsole for traction. The debut lineup includes blue/orange and black/white with neon green accents.

Recent Brain Child and Packer Shoes collaborations helped bring the DMX Series 3000 back into focus. The Trailzillo expands that push with another take on Reebok’s outdoor footwear archive.

The Jordan Tatum 5 Gets A South Beach Makeover

Pink and teal have appeared on plenty of basketball shoes over the years, and now that familiar South Beach mix is coming to the Jordan Tatum 5. Jayson Tatum’s latest signature pairs the colors with a mostly grey upper, leaving the brighter details to the heel, tongue and midfoot.

Light grey synthetic leather makes up most of the upper, with a darker grey strap running across the foot for added lockdown. A rubberized Jumpman sits at the end of the textured strap, while teal mesh panels along the inner side help with airflow.

The heel gets a few different shades, starting with a bright pink counter shaped like a zero. A silver semicircle sits along its upper edge, and the pull tab comes in a softer pink. More pink and teal appear on the JT tongue logo.

The teal support piece is visible beneath the midfoot and extends up the side of the shoe, where pink trim separates it from the grey upper. A white midsole combines Air Zoom with Cushlon 3.0 cushioning, sitting above a milky, semi-translucent outsole.

The Jordan Tatum 5 “South Beach” will release during Holiday 2026 at Nike and select retailers, both online and in stores. Retail is set at $135, with unisex sizing available.

INVINCIBLE x adidas Consortium Capsule Releases November 13th

INVINCIBLE made three versions of the adidas Samba for its latest collection, including an all-black pair that looks closer to a dress shoe. Brown and Beige pairs keep a more familiar Samba sole, but all three have a gathered, elastic opening around the ankle.

Sawtooth edges line the panels on the all-black pair, which carries the same color across the upper and sole. The ruched opening changes the shape around the ankle, giving this version a different look from the usual Samba.

The Brown and Beige pairs sit on more traditional athletic soles and share the black pair’s gathered collar. An off-white heel tab appears on both, providing some contrast against their earth-toned uppers.

Alongside the footwear, INVINCIBLE and adidas are releasing their first apparel collection together. It includes a flight jacket, knit jerseys, track pants, and sweatpants.

New Balance 1890 “Mulled Wine” Gets Dipped in Burgundy

The New Balance 1890 “Mulled Wine” is coming for Holiday 2026, dressed in dark burgundy with silver and black detailing. Most of the upper is made from mesh, with synthetic panels wrapping around the sides and extending toward the toe.

Silver outlines follow the curved overlays across the upper, matching the large “N” logos on each side. Black laces with white speckles sit over the tongue, which has a small section of red mesh near the top. The heel switches to glossy black with a textured pattern, 1890 branding on the sides, and New Balance logos at the back.

A burgundy ABZORB midsole sits underneath, with exposed cushioning pods running along the bottom. The dark grey rubber outsole has deep grooves and separate traction sections across the forefoot and heel.

Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared” Releases November 7th

The last Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared” came out in 2014, and the next one is scheduled for November 2026. This release brings back the Nike Air heel logo from 1991, along with a few adjustments to the shape that should make it look more like the original.

The 2010 Infrared Pack and 2014 retro both had Jumpman branding on the back. Neither used the original Nike Air logo, so this will be the first “White Infrared” in 35 years to have it again.

Older Air Jordan 6 retros also had some differences in the toe and upper compared to the 1991 shoe. The upcoming version appears to follow the original shape more closely, at least judging by the official photos. Most of the design is familiar, with white leather covering the upper, black detailing, and Infrared across parts of the midsole.

The Infrared shade is another detail that hasn’t stayed consistent over the years. Some retros were brighter than others, but the color shown on the 2026 pair looks fairly close to the original.

Michael Jordan’s first NBA championship came in 1991, the same year the “White Infrared” debuted. The shoe was part of the original Air Jordan 6 lineup, which turns 35 in 2026. Several other Jordan 6 colorways are also due out during the anniversary year.

Nike Book 2 “Be Legendary” Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant

Devin Booker is bringing one of his most personal Kobe-inspired looks over to the Nike Book 2, with the “Be Legendary” colorway expected to arrive later this year.

The story goes back to 2016, when Booker faced Kobe Bryant during Kobe’s final season. After the game, Kobe gave him a signed pair of Kobe 11s with “Be Legendary” written on the shoe. Booker held onto that message and later worked it into a Kobe 4 PE he wore during the 2021 NBA Finals, followed by a Book 1 PE a few years later.

That purple setup now carries over to the Book 2. Lighter purple tumbled leather covers the lower part of the shoe, while darker ripstop takes over up top. A black patent leather Swoosh runs across the side, with more purple showing up on the laces, tongue, and textured sockliner.

There does not appear to be any “Be Legendary” text on the retail pair itself. Instead, the usual Book 2 details stay in place, including “Chapter Two” down the heel pull tab and Booker branding on the tongue. A grey speckled midsole sits underneath, finished off with an icy translucent outsole.
