The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” Returns in 2027 As A Golf Shoe

Published on

The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” is set to return in 2027. Well, sort of. Sorry to burst your bubble, sneakerheads. One of MJ’s most famous sneakers is trading a traditional retro return for the golf course this time around.

Details on the shoe have yet to be revealed, but preliminary renderings showcase the black leather upper, elephant print overlays, grey accents and red hits we know and love from the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement.” The last true retro of the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” was in 2024, so this iteration is serving more as a sequel than your average Jordan retro.

As you can probably tell from the title, the biggest updates will likely happen on the sole. Built for golfing purposes, we should see course-friendly traction replacing the traditional basketball tread. Don’t be surprised if Jordan Brand tweaks the foam and sole materials to create a more comfortable experience walking the course.

Michael Jordan is well known for his love of golf, so this release should come as no surprise. But by offering the “Black Cement” colorway on a performance-driven golf model, fans get a retro-inspired shoe that’s been reshaped for the links.
