PJ Tucker retires with a legacy that stretches far beyond box scores, defensive stops, and corner threes. The veteran forward announced his decision on Instagram, closing a professional basketball career that lasted nearly two decades and helped turn him into the NBA’s most respected sneaker collector.

Known as the league’s “Sneaker King,” Tucker built a reputation for wearing pairs most players could only admire from a distance. His collection reportedly includes more than 5,000 sneakers, ranging from Nike Basketball classics and Jordan grails to player exclusives and rare samples. During the 2017-18 season alone, he wore 106 different sneakers, often switching pairs during halftime.

Tucker’s sneaker moments became a major part of his NBA identity. One of his wildest came in 2022, when he laced up a sample of the unreleased Nike LeBron 2 “Beast,” also known as the “Cheetah.” The pair was so rare that even LeBron James appeared caught off guard when he saw them on court. Tucker also brought more than 100 pairs to the NBA bubble and famously rotated through all three Nike Air Yeezy 2 colorways during games, further proving his sneaker lineup was in a league of its own.

PJ Tucker’s NBA path was never simple. After entering the league in 2006 with the Toronto Raptors, he spent time overseas before returning as a trusted 3-and-D veteran. Stops with the Suns, Rockets, Bucks, Heat, 76ers, and Clippers helped shape a career built on toughness, defense, and consistency.

Milwaukee’s City Connect story is now carrying over into footwear with the Nike Air Max 1 “Milwaukee Brewers.” The pair is part of Nike’s larger MLB City Connect Air Max 1 collection, which is expected to include styles tied to all eight participating teams this season.

The Brewers edition pulls directly from the team’s latest City Connect uniform, using a blue-heavy palette inspired by the Great Lakes. Light blue hairy suede covers much of the upper, while deeper navy suede lands around the mudguard, heel, and lower panels. White mesh breaks up the look, giving the shoe a clean base beneath the bold team colors.

Rainbow detailing adds one of the pair’s strongest visual hits. The Swoosh features layered trim in yellow and orange tones, matching the accents seen across Milwaukee’s City Connect jersey. A small orange lace detail adds another pop of color, while the tongue badge features a playful baseball graphic that ties the design back to the field.

Michael Jordan never wore the Air Jordan 9 during an NBA game with the Chicago Bulls, since the model released during his first retirement from basketball. However, the silhouette still became an important part of Jordan Brand history, appearing through global-inspired details and later gaining stronger pop culture relevance through Space Jam.

While most fans connect the movie to the black-and-royal Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”, this Air Jordan 9 also played a role in the film’s legacy. Jordan was seen wearing the black, white, and red pair during scenes and promotional moments tied to the movie, helping give the colorway its lasting nickname.

The latest images show the shoe returning with its familiar white leather upper, black overlays, black laces, and red branding hits. Brooklyn Projects, adidas Skateboarding, and Anthrax are joining forces for a new 2026 collaboration series. The project starts with a Superstar ADV built around the heavy metal band’s loud, aggressive identity and Brooklyn Projects’ skate-driven edge.

The Anthrax x Brooklyn Projects x adidas Superstar arrives in an all-black build with a full Cordura base for added durability. Pre-distressed leather appears on the Three Stripes and heel tab, giving the shoe a worn-in look straight out of the box. Yellow laces add contrast while tying back to Anthrax’s signature logo colors.

Brooklyn Projects branding also appears on the sneaker, with “BP” details worked into the design. While the full rollout has not been revealed, this first pair sets the tone for a darker, tougher take on the adidas Superstar ADV. The result feels made for both skate sessions and mosh pits.

The project also connects two familiar storylines for the brand, mixing the ongoing Air Max 95 push with a football-inspired release built around the tournament.

A soft off-white upper sets the base, while silver and black run through the layered design for a clean contrast. Orange lining adds a warmer hit inside the shoe, and the overall color makeup gives this pair a sunset-like look that separates it from more standard Air Max 95 releases. Kith and New Balance are expanding their 2026 partnership with a new 99X Series collection tied to the reopening of Kith’s West Hollywood flagship. The release marks Kith’s third New Balance collaboration of the year and focuses on four MADE in USA silhouettes.

Nike SB continues building momentum around the Air Force 1, this time dressing the updated skate version in a familiar “Wheat” colorway. The result blends one of Nike’s most recognizable lifestyle styles with a build made closer to skate needs.

This Nike SB Air Force 1 “Wheat” features a full suede upper covered in a golden brown tone. Matching laces, padded collars, and tonal overlays keep the design clean, while black Nike SB branding adds contrast on the tongue, heel, and insoles. A full gum sole completes the workboot-inspired look.
