Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Easter” 2027 First Look

Published on

Nike is bringing the Kobe 8 “Easter” back in 2027, giving another original colorway from Kobe Bryant’s eighth signature shoe the Protro treatment. The pair first released in 2013 and was part of Nike Basketball’s Easter lineup alongside special versions of the KD 5 and LeBron 10.

The Kobe 8 stood out from the rest of that collection because of its mix of bright colors across the lightweight mesh upper. Light blue covers the front of the shoe before shifting into yellow through the side panels and darker blue and purple tones toward the heel. A snakeskin-style graphic runs throughout the upper, keeping the same look that made the original pair easy to recognize.

Black is used across the Swoosh, laces, heel counter, and midsole, with speckled detailing adding another layer to the design. Yellow Kobe branding appears on the heel, while a white outsole finishes the colorway underneath.

The 2027 version stays close to the original design while receiving the performance updates used throughout Nike’s Kobe Protro line. Nike has continued bringing older Kobe models back with updated cushioning and other changes meant to make them more suitable for modern basketball.
