A Look Back at OBJ’s Most Iconic Cleats Over the Years

UPDATE 9/13/26: Odell Beckham Jr. is back with the Giants in 2026, and he’s wearing No. 13 again. After using No. 3 earlier in the offseason, OBJ made the switch before Week 1 and returns to the field against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium.

That game already has some history behind it. Beckham made his famous one-handed touchdown catch against Dallas on Sunday Night Football in November 2014, a play that ended up becoming one of the biggest moments of his career.

OBJ has also worn a long list of memorable cleats over the years, from custom pairs to player exclusives and special one-offs. With him back in New York, we’re looking back at a few of the pairs that stood out the most.

Nike Caitlin 1 “Racer Blue” Releases October 1st

Nike is getting close to launching the Caitlin 1, and official photos of the “Racer Blue” colorway have now surfaced in both adult and kids’ sizing.

Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoe was introduced back in June, with this blue pair leading the way. The upper comes covered in a deep royal blue, with raised “22” details on the medial side and “CC” branding on the lateral side. A chrome Swoosh adds some shine, while Clark’s logo sits on the tongue.

Underfoot, the shoe uses a Cushlon midsole with Zoom Air Turbo in the forefoot. A translucent rubber outsole finishes things off and is built to handle movement in multiple directions on the court.

Clark has already shown off several other Caitlin 1 colorways ahead of launch, including “Hot Punch”, “Electric Green”, and “Yellow Zest”. Those pairs are also expected to release later this year.

Sneaker Talk: Air Jordan 21 “Light Graphite”

The Air Jordan 21 “Light Graphite” released in June 2006 for $180, right around the time Jordan Brand was getting used to life without Michael Jordan on the court.

D’Wayne Edwards designed the Air Jordan 21 with a cleaner shape than a lot of the Jordans that came before it. The shoe looked pretty simple, but there was still a lot going on with the materials and performance setup.

By 2006, there really was no reason to expect another Michael Jordan comeback. He had retired before and returned, but this time it felt final. That meant Jordan Brand had to keep the signature line moving without MJ playing in the league, and the Air Jordan 21 was one of the first models to really deal with that shift.

The shoe took inspiration from the Bentley Continental GT, which matched the more upscale direction Jordan Brand was going for at the time. The “Light Graphite” pair came covered in suede with tonal “23” branding near the lateral heel. It also featured a double-overlasted Phylon midsole, I.P.S. cushioning pods, a carbon fiber shank plate, and a modified rubber outsole.

The Air Jordan 21 never became one of those models everyone talked about, but it still has a loyal following. A lot of that comes from collectors who remember when the shoe originally dropped and still appreciate how different it felt from the rest of the line.

Anyone still looking for the Air Jordan 21 “Light Graphite” can find a few sizes floating around on resale sites like StockX.

First Look at the Jordan Vail Lifestyle Sneaker

Jordan Brand has a new lifestyle shoe on the way called the Jordan Vail, and we got an early look at it during the Black Footwear Forum in Detroit. VP of Global Footwear Dominique Debnam wore the unreleased pair on stage with James Whitney and Dr. D’Wayne Edwards. Jordan Brand has not announced the shoe yet, so there is still a lot we do not know.

From what we can see so far, the Vail is pretty different from most Jordan models. It has a mid-cut shape with an inner bootie around the ankle, while mesh covers most of the upper. The whole shoe looks light and simple, especially compared to the layered builds usually seen on Jordan basketball sneakers.

The sole is kept pretty basic too. There is no bulky midsole or visible cushioning unit. Instead, the Vail sits low on a thin rubber sole that looks mostly flat from the side.

The laces are what stand out the most. They run across the top of the foot, then appear to wrap around the ankle before tying behind the heel. The extra lace hanging down in back gives the shoe a look that almost resembles a ponytail.

That could be a small connection to Jordan Brand’s recent women’s footwear. The Jordan Heir Series 2 has a hair tie at the heel, inspired by players tying their hair back before games. The Vail does something different, but the idea feels somewhat similar.

The first pair shown comes in red and black, which gives it a familiar Jordan look without leaning heavily on older Air Jordan designs. Most of the shoe feels new, and it seems aimed more at everyday wear than basketball.

A release date for the Jordan Vail has yet to be announced.

Air Jordan 4014 “Ferrari” Releases September 26th

Jordan Brand is using the Air Jordan 40 line to tap into a different part of Michael Jordan’s sneaker history. The Air Jordan 4014 “Ferrari” takes cues from the Air Jordan 14, blending its sports car-inspired look with the newer model.

The upper comes dressed in red suede, giving the shoe a look that immediately connects back to the AJ14 “Ferrari.” Familiar details include the shield-style ankle badge and carbon fiber accents near the toe, both carried over in a way that still fits the newer silhouette.

Instead of loading the shoe with too many references, the design keeps things fairly clean. The Air Jordan 14 inspiration is easy to spot, but it does not take over the entire shoe.

More details show up around the heel, including a debossed “23” and metallic silver trim. Those touches help finish the Ferrari-inspired look while keeping the overall design focused on performance.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Last Dance At The Garden” Releases September 26th

UPDATE 9/12/26: Official photos of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Last Dance At The Garden” have surfaced. A release date is set for September 26 via SNKRS, priced at $155. Inspired by Michael Jordan wearing the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” for his final game in a Bulls uniform at Madison Square Garden.

Original Story 6/16/26:
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG is getting another nod to New York with the release of the “Last Dance At The Garden” colorway.

This sneaker release from Jordan Brand is a nod to both the Knicks’ 2026 NBA Championship win and Michael Jordan’s storied history at Madison Square Garden. During what was expected to be MJ’s final home game at the Garden in 1998, he sported the now-iconic “Chicago” Air Jordan 1 while playing in black Bulls alternate uniforms.

The history-making game will be represented with this brand new low-top iteration. While Jordan Brand maintains the color blocking reminiscent of the “Chicago” AJ1, they switched up the color scheme to white and black. In place of traditional red leather piping, Jordan Brand applies a floral design reminiscent of a tapestry.

The finishing touches pay homage to Madison Square Garden and its nickname, “The Garden.” Orange and blue accents also show up on the lace stay of the tongue.

Nike Ja 4 “Jaws” (Deep Water) Releases September 25th

The Nike Ja 4 is already out, and the next colorways are starting to fill in the rest of the model’s first run. One of the more interesting pairs on the way is the “Jaws” colorway, a shark-themed release expected to land in September 2026.

The idea is pretty easy to read once you see the shoe. Different shades of blue run across the upper, moving from darker navy sections into lighter tones around the toe and midfoot. The textured surface gives the pair a rougher look, which works well with the shark theme without making the whole design feel too literal.

Most of the movie influence shows up in the smaller details. Shark teeth wrap around the tongue logo, while more jagged shapes appear around the vamp and through parts of the JA branding. A red hit at the center of the tongue adds some contrast against all the blue.

The side panels carry one of the better touches. Dark blue hardware cuts through the upper and works with the oversized Swoosh, giving the shoe a sharper look from the side. Underfoot, a light translucent outsole helps keep the bottom from feeling too heavy.

The “Jaws” nickname comes from the 1975 shark film, but this is more of an inspired colorway than an official movie collaboration. Morant’s line has done this kind of thing before, using louder themes and pop culture references on pairs like the “Ja-Breaker” and his Jurassic Park collaboration.

Nike Ja 4 Jaws Release Date

The Nike Ja 4 “Jaws”, also known as “Deep Water,” is set to release September 25, 2026 through SNKRS and select retailers. The pair will be available in adult and grade school sizing, with adult pairs priced at $140 and grade school sizes at $115. Check out the official photos below.

Air Jordan 5 “Sunset” 2026 Official Photos

For its 20th anniversary, Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 5 “Sunset”, which first dropped as a women’s exclusive in 2006. Much like the first time around, this retro sports a mostly white foundation, highlighted by the orange and red touches that earned it the “Sunset” moniker.

White leather makes up the upper, with translucent netting woven into the side panels and under the laces. The reflective silver tongue preserves the iconic Air Jordan 5 aesthetic. A pop of vivid red on the Jumpman logo and interior lining really makes the neutral design stand out.

The jagged, shark-tooth pattern on the midsole is primarily orange, then shifts to Fire Red on the lower part and outsole. The heel’s embroidered Jumpman also features red, with darker trim around the eyelets offering a touch of contrast near the collar.

The “Sunset” colorway emerged during a time when Jordan Brand felt more at ease experimenting beyond the iconic Chicago Bulls palette. A few retros from the mid-2000s leaned brighter and more lifestyle-driven, especially within the women’s lineup. While this model didn’t make quite the same splash as the major Air Jordan 5s of that time, its reissue provides sneakerheads a new chance to grab a colorway that’s been absent for two decades.

Based on the early looks, Jordan Brand appears to have kept this design largely the same. You’ll probably notice some slight differences in the proportions and materials compared to the 2006 production, as most modern retros do, though the color arrangement and overall impression are still clearly recognizable.

Air Jordan 5 Sunset 2026 Release Date

The Air Jordan 5 “Sunset” is set to release September 25, 2026, in women’s sizing for $205. The pair will be available through SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. Check out the official images below.

Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “University Red” Releases Online at 12 PM ET After In-Person Launch Is Cancelled

UPDATE 9/12/26: The in-person release for the Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 “Red” at the Victor Victor Gas Station has been cancelled. People had been lined up since midnight hoping to grab a pair, but the store release will no longer take place. The online launch is still scheduled for 12 PM ET through the Victor Victor website.

Original Story: 9/9/26:
Steven Victor looked to his Ferrari Testarossa for the Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 Low ’01 “University Red,” a limited release built around the classic 2001 shape. Pairs have been floating around for months, with DJ Khaled, AJ Dybantsa and others getting them early as Victor continued showing the project on social media.

University Red covers nearly the entire leather upper, while white is used for the Swooshes on the sides and forefoot. The same contrast carries over to the Nike Air branding on the tongue and heel, keeping most of the attention on the bright red finish.

The Ferrari influence is easier to spot underfoot. Yellow, green, blue and red racing stripes run across the outsole, joined by repeating “VICTOR VICTOR” lettering. Those details connect the shoe back to Victor’s Testarossa without changing much about the familiar Air Force 1 design up top.

Only 646 pairs of the Victor Victor x Nike Air Force 1 Low ’01 “University Red” will be released. The shoes launch September 12, 2026 at 10AM ET, in Harlem for $150. A Jadakiss promo video lists 89 St. Nicholas Place, and Steven Victor has confirmed that location.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “Velvet Brown Leopard” Leans Into Animal Print

Jordan Brand has another women’s Air Jordan 1 Mid lined up for Fall 2026, pairing darker neutral colors with leopard print. The upcoming colorway uses Black, Velvet Brown, and Chalk across a mix of leather and fabric.

Tumbled leather makes up much of the upper, while a canvas-like material changes up the usual Air Jordan 1 Mid build. Leopard print appears on the Swooshes and continues onto parts of the tongue and collar. Black and brown cover the rest of the shoe, keeping the print limited to a few areas instead of running across the full design.

The women’s Air Jordan 1 Mid “Velvet Brown Leopard” will release during Fall 2026 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers. A specific release date has yet to be announced.

Nike Air Max Goadome “Black/Volt” Returns With a Stealthy ACG Look

The Nike Air Max Goadome “Black/Volt” is coming back in Fall 2026 with a dark, mostly black look. Black and Anthracite cover the upper, with smooth leather mixed against slightly rougher panels around the sides and collar.

Most of the details stay tonal, including the laces, eyelets, tongue, stitching, and sole. Small silver Swooshes break things up on the sides, while visible Air cushioning runs through the heel and forefoot. The outsole keeps the deep tread the Goadome is known for, with a small Volt ACG badge underneath adding the only real hit of bright color.

Nike Vapor 12 “Qinwen Zheng” Celebrates Her Chinese Roots

Zheng Qinwen is getting her own Nike Zoom Vapor 12 PE after reaching the quarterfinals at the 2026 US Open. She knocked off two top-25 players during the run, another step forward after injuries kept her from building much momentum last season.

Her Vapor 12 uses a red base with gold accents throughout. The Swoosh gets the gold treatment, along with “Qinwen” branding on the tongue and heel. Printed and stitched graphics cover parts of the upper as well, including a crown, medal and wings.

A gold phoenix hangtag comes with the shoe and ties back to the Chinese theme. The symbol is commonly linked with renewal and rebirth, a fitting detail considering Zheng’s climb back up the rankings.

The Zheng Qinwen Nike Zoom Vapor 12 PE is expected to release in Fall/Winter 2026, possibly around the China Open in early October. The pair is expected to be exclusive to China.

Air Jordan 1 Low “Halloween” Gets a Glow-in-the-Dark Finish

Jordan Brand is adding an Air Jordan 1 Low to its Halloween releases for Fall 2026. Done in Black, Scream Green, and Anthracite, the shoe pairs a mostly black upper with sharp green hits that might remind longtime Jordan fans of the “Altitude” color scheme.

Black nubuck and leather cover most of the upper, while softer fabric sits underneath the overlays. Scream Green shows up along the raw panel edges, on the Jumpman logo, and through the “XXIII” stitching near the toe. A glow-in-the-dark outsole adds one more seasonal detail without changing the overall black-and-green look.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Halloween” is part of a wider Fall 2026 lineup that also includes the Air Jordan 5 “Halloween,” Book 2 “Halloween,” Ja 4 “Halloween,” and Air Force 1 “Scream.” This pair keeps the theme more low-key, relying mostly on the color blocking, exposed edges, and glowing sole.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Leopard” Is Made for Women With a Wild Side

Nike is bringing leopard print back to the Air Force 1 Low for Fall 2026 with a new women’s colorway in Bucktan, Desert Ochre, and Black. Printed canvas covers most of the upper, skipping the suede and pony hair used on some older leopard releases.

The brown base is covered in black spots through the toe, side panels, and heel. Yellow stitching runs along the upper and adds another warm tone without standing out too much.

Black takes care of the Swooshes, heel tabs, tongues, laces, and lining, then carries onto the midsole and outsole. It gives the shoe a darker finish and keeps most of the attention on the leopard print.

Nike Air Max 95 “Reverse Blue Spark” Brings Back the Flipped Gradient

The Nike Air Max 95 “Reverse Blue Spark” takes the reversed gradient idea in a different direction for 2026. Instead of leaning on the model’s familiar Neon accents, this one works in Blue Spark while keeping the overall build closer to a traditional Air Max 95.

Dark charcoal covers the mesh, toe, and top portion of the upper. From there, the layered side panels move into lighter shades of grey. Short-haired suede is used across the overlays, while white rope laces run through Blue Spark loops. The same blue shows up on the tongue branding and the small Swooshes near the heel.

A white midsole gives the darker upper some contrast. Blue-tinted Big Bubble Air units sit underfoot, with black and blue rubber finishing the outsole.

The reversed color blocking goes back to an early sketch from Air Max 95 designer Sergio Lozano. Instead of the usual light-to-dark fade, the greys run the other way, paired with a darker tongue and white midsole.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Reverse Blue Spark” is expected to release during Fall/Winter 2026 for $190 at Nike.com and select retailers.

Vans Harris Tweed Collection Covers the Old Skool, Slip-On and Loafer 53

Vans is working Harris Tweed into three familiar styles for Fall 2026, covering the Old Skool, Classic Slip-On, and Loafer 53 in different takes on the Scottish fabric.

The Old Skool was the first pair to surface and uses navy tweed across most of the upper, with a darker toe and matching trim. Peace-sign charms, spikes, gems, and other small pieces are worked into the SideStripe area, giving it a more decorated look than the usual Old Skool.

The Classic Slip-On comes in a mix of red, brown, and khaki tweed. Some of the same hardware carries over, but the simpler shape keeps the focus on the fabric and color blocking.

A fuzzy brown upper gives the Loafer 53 a much different feel from the other two. It keeps the penny loafer shape up top and sits on a traditional Vans sole, with most of the extra embellishments left off.
