Nike Air VaporMax Plus “Swingman” Releases June 25th

On May 25, 1991, Ken Griffey Jr. robbed New York’s Ruben Sierra of extra bases with the “Spider-Man” catch. To pay homage to arguably one of the greatest catches in MLB history, Nike will be releasing a special VaporMax Plus inspired by that moment as part of a larger “Swingman” collection.

This offering of the Nike Air VaporMax Plus comes dressed in a “Freshwater”-like color blocking. The shoe is detailed with Teal accents and Red stitching along the collar along with Griffey’s number “24” on the heel pull tabs. A spider graphic on the insoles with a Gold hang tag completes the design.

Nike will be honoring baseball icon Ken Griffey Jr. with his own personal collection that includes this “Swingman” edition of the Air Griffey Max 1.

Dressed in a “Freshwater” color blocking. This Nike Air Griffey Max 1 feasters a White leather upper with Black leather overlays atop a Teal midsole and Black rubber outsole. Other details include “Swingman” text branding on the tongue tag and “Swingman” logo appearing on the heels. Finishing off the design is a large Gold Swoosh on the toe box, “The Sweetest Swing” branding on the insoles, and a Gold hang tag inscribed with Griffey’s number 24.

This offering of the Nike Waffle One feature a transparent mesh upper with scrappy recycled foam underneath paired with suede overlays on the eyestay and forefoot. Volt leather Swooshes with Crater Foam that’s hard material made form Recycled Grind fabrics, which is found on all the Space Hippie sneakers, spotted on the tongue, heel, and outsole completes the design.

Nike is set to release a massive Dunk lineup during the early months of 2021 that ranges from different color options of both the Dunk High and Dunk Low.

Part of the lineup will include this new “University Blue” offering of the Nike Dunk Low. In addition to the Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus, Nike adds to their latest reflective retro logo pack with the Air Max 97 honoring its Air Max origins.

This offering of the Nike Air Max 97 features a White mesh base with leather overlays highlighted with Volt contrasting accents throughout. Highlighting the shoe is its mudguard covered with retro Air Max logos that doesn’t come in a reflective finish, instead Nike kept that fro the traditional overlays above.
