New York’s late-summer tennis run gives Nike a natural story here, with the Vapor 12 dressed around one of the city’s most familiar landmarks.
The Nike Vapor 12 “Statue of Liberty” is primarily done in teal on the upper, midsole and center stripe on the outsole to mimic the oxidized copper look. Black accents were used for the laces, tongues, collar lining and court traction panels. The Swooshes were done in metallic silver to help brighten the shoe up from all of the teal.
Nike works the city theme in through smaller details instead of turning the design into a full graphic tribute. Raised “NYC” lettering appears on the tongue badges, Vapor branding runs down the heel tabs, and the insoles use a circular tennis ball-style Nike logo. The molded ridges along the forefoot and side panels add texture too, giving the performance model more shape in close-up shots.
The outsole keeps the same balance, with teal running through the middle and black herringbone traction placed at the forefoot and heel. It is a detail that would be easy to miss from the side view, but the bottom shot shows Nike carried the color story through the full build.
The Nike Vapor 12 “Statue of Liberty” releases Summer 2026 for $180 through Nike.com and select retailers.
