Tom Sachs and Nike have another General Purpose Shoe release lined up, with a black-based “Black/White/Team Royal” colorway now appearing on overseas release calendars. The pair comes after Sachs returned to Nike with the Mars Yard 3.0, while another Mars Yard project is already expected further down the road.

The General Purpose Shoe has also started showing up again in different forms. A brighter pair was used as the “Loser Shoe” during Sachs’ I.S.R.U. camp, while the “Bricolage” colorway released through his website, select retailers, and Nike SNKRS in April. This black version had surfaced around the same time, but there was no clear release information attached to it then.

For this pair, the upper switches over to black leather with matching dark panels covering most of the shoe. White Swooshes and heel pieces add some contrast, while Team Royal blue is used on the pull tabs. A gum rubber outsole finishes the design and keeps the same simple, practical look used across the General Purpose Shoe line.

The Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe “Black/Team Royal” is scheduled to release September 30th through select European retailers. A U.S. release date and Nike SNKRS launch have not been confirmed yet.
