The Nike Air Max Plus has another release lined up for Fall 2026, this time in “Cool Grey/Diffused Blue.” Black and grey cover most of the shoe, but instead of the usual gradient seen on Sean McDowell’s 1998 design, Nike uses a fine dotted pattern to give the upper a faded, almost airbrushed look.

The mesh upper features a gradual fade between black and grey, with tiny dots creating an airbrushed appearance. That pattern also runs through the molded TPU waves along the sides, making them blend into the upper rather than stand out. Black patent leather overlays bring a glossy finish to the otherwise muted design.

Gradient colorways have been part of the Air Max Plus since its early days, and Nike has kept the model in regular rotation with new releases over the years. The recent One Piece collaboration brought more attention to the silhouette, while general-release pairs like this one stick closer to its original design.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Cool Grey/Diffused Blue” is scheduled to release in Fall 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers for $190.
