Nike Air Force 1 Low “Family Reunion” Features North African Laser Art

Published on

Nike is moving the “Family Reunion” theme over to the Air Force 1 with three colorways built around different regional influences. The first pair to surface uses a white leather base covered with laser-etched artwork tied to North African design and the region’s role in the development of hip-hop.

Much of the detail sits across the toe box and quarter panels, where arabesque patterns reference the repeating geometry found in Islamic art and architecture throughout North Africa. Because the artwork is cut directly into the leather, the shoe keeps the look of a classic all-white Air Force 1 from a distance.

The music connection shows up in the smaller pieces. Circular graphics on the lace dubrae, lateral heel, and insoles are based on vinyl records and turntable pivot points. Marrakesh Orange breaks up the white finish and takes its name from the Moroccan city.

Laser detailing is not new to the Air Force 1. Mark Smith helped bring the process to retail on the model in 2003, and Nike has recently revisited it with the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Laser”, inspired by a one-of-one pair created for Michael Jordan.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Family Reunion” will release in Fall 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers.
