Brooklyn’s creative collective, MSCHF, has joined forces with Reebok to introduce a unique twist on the classic Pump Omni Zone 2 sneakers in two color options, as reported by Brendan Dunne of Complex.
Originally launched in 1991, the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II gained fame when it graced the feet of Boston Celtics’ point guard, Dee Brown. Brown’s iconic no-look dunk during the NBA Slam Dunk Contest that year solidified these shoes in basketball lore.
MSCHF’s interpretation of the Pump Omni Zone II takes things up a notch, adding extra Pump features to the shoe’s upper. Crafted from leather and adorned with its distinctive TPU overlays, the footwear offers Hexalite cushioning for ultimate comfort. In terms of color, both shoes predominantly boasts a white base complemented by vibrant blue accents, and striking yellow and orange highlights. You’ll also spot the MSCHF branding prominently displayed on the shoe.
The eagerly anticipated MSCHF x Reebok Pump Omni Zone II is slated for release on September 27, 2023, exclusively via the MSCHF Sneakers App, and potentially through Reebok and select online and in-store retailers. The retail price tag is set a $250 USD each.
In summary, MSCHF’s collaboration with Reebok breathes new life into the classic Pump Omni Zone II, with added Pump features and a vibrant color palette. Sneaker enthusiasts and basketball fans alike will have the chance to grab a pair when they hit the market in September 2023, with details on pricing yet to be revealed. Don’t miss out on this exciting release from MSCHF and Reebok!
