Designer Miaou remixes adidas’ long history of Taekwondo shoes with a fashion-forward lens for the latest drop.

The two featured shoes each play with the thin, gym-friendly sole. There’s the calf-high black boot first, which trades in the leather for a breathable mesh and is outlined by patent panels.

Next, there’s the Mei Elite. Picture ballet-core vibes colliding with vintage soccer culture. The quilted silver upper and obscured lace cover gives the impression of an old-school football boot covered in futuristic glam. The yellow Three Stripes are a touch edgy and feel just right, lending the pair a brash sense of bravado.

The apparel from Miaou caps off the capsule, also working within sharp tailoring and sporty references. It’s a drop that manages to balance being editorial while also being something you could wear in real life, which is no easy feat.
