The adidas Anthony Edwards 3 “Purple Iridescent” is releasing in November, giving Anthony Edwards’ third signature basketball shoe another colorway built around its oversized side panels. Purple covers most of the upper, while the molded zigzag cage features an iridescent finish that shifts between silver, blue, and pink depending on how the light hits it. The colors also have a bit of a Minnesota Timberwolves connection, particularly with the purple and blue combination.

The purple textile upper comes with matching laces, a padded collar, and a white mesh tongue. Along the sides are the AE3’s oversized zigzag panels, which have an iridescent finish that looks silver, blue, or pink depending on the lighting. You can see darker mesh through the gaps, while the panels themselves stretch from the heel nearly to the toe. It’s the same low-top build used on other AE3 releases, with the molded sides giving the shoe much of its shape.

Edwards’ signature logo is printed in purple on the tongue, while white adidas branding appears on the molded heel piece. One detail that isn’t immediately noticeable is the reflective material near the toe, which lights up under flash photography. Underfoot, a purple rubber outsole features a herringbone traction pattern, along with a white section through the middle. The purple also carries onto the toe bumper and heel, keeping the color consistent across the upper and sole.
