Kanye West has won the “Shoe of the Year” award for his adidas Yeezy Boost shoes. Footwear News hosted their Achievement Awards ceremony live in New York City, that honors the footwear industry’s best and the brightest talents.

Since the moment Kanye West unveiled the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost at the Grammys, everything turned into #YeezyBoost this and #YeezyBoost that, making it the most-recognized shoes this year.

Then came the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost, a low-cut version of the original release that used adidas’ Primeknit technology and instantly became a big hit across the global of influencers, from sneakerheads to celebrities, fashionistas and any individual into shoes.

This now marks adidas’ second time winning the honor, with their first take home of the “Shoe of the Year” belonging to the iconic adidas Stan Smith.
