Believe it or not, but a John Mayer Nike Air Max 90 shoe is set to release dubbed, “Spirit Level.” But this isn’t your traditional Nike x John Mayer collaboration as J.M. is taking matters in his own hand for a very cool spin on a sneaker partnership.
Instead of teaming up with Nike’s design team, John Mayer hit up NIKEiD to create his very own Nike Air Max 90 shoe and purchased every single pair that was available. He then plans on selling them to his fans on his own. During an interview with GQ he said, “I’m just waiting for it to get discontinued on their site. And I’m gonna offer it as my own shoe through my Shopify page.”
