Chen has pushed the Superstar into fresh territory over the past year, and this project continues that shift. His approach uses premium materials and a reshaped sole, giving the model a tougher, more experimental stance. Meanwhile, BAPE® brings its signature camo style, adding familiar visual punch without overwhelming the shoe’s cleaner framework.
The upper uses soft off-white leather with stitched details that give it a workshop feel. Olive hits and cargo-style accents add utility flavor. The mix of BAPE® First Camo and CLOT’s Silk Royale pattern across the stripes, heel, and star logo works surprisingly well, offering contrast without clashing. The sand-toned ripple outsole, complete with sawtooth edges, gives the Superstar a rugged profile while the shell toe keeps everything grounded.
Gold lace deubrés and subtle debossed marks close out the look with quiet flex.
