Better Release: Air Jordan 4 LS “Tour Yellow” or Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red”

The Air Jordan 4, launched in 1989, built on the Air Jordan 3s successful fusion of on-court performance and off-court style. The following year, the Air Jordan 5 was released, retaining the mesh side panels from its predecessor. It also introduced a distinctive translucent sole, a first for Air Jordan sneakers.

In the mid-2000s, the Air Jordan 4 LS “Tour Yellow” was released as a lifestyle retro. It features a simple white leather upper with black on the eyelet flange and grey on the eyelets. Underfoot, the shoe has vibrant elements like a speckled yellow application on the Air-infused midsole. The outsole has Dark Blue Grey for a complementary touch, and the Jumpman logo replaces the classic Nike Air branding on the heel.

The Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is an original colorway from 1990, last seen in August 2013. It showcases a white leather upper, a black tongue, and Fire Red accents. There’s also a ’23’ emblem on the ankle. The sneaker includes a red midsole, black shark teeth, and a translucent outsole.
