During the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, Michael Jordan pushed the limits of gravity even further when he launched from the free throw line. To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of that iconic moment, Jordan Brand will be releasing a special edition Air Jordan 3 Dunk Contest model.
Dressed in a White, Fire Red, Cement Grey and Black color scheme. This Air Jordan 3 is basically the “White Cement” Air Jordan 3 in OG form with the addition of a translucent sole that features a Red Stripe to represent the exact place where MJ took flight.
Other details includes “3:51” on the back pull tabs as a nod to the time MJ took flight and “147” on the tongue to represent MJ’s total score in the final round of the Dunk Contest.
Air Jordan 3 Dunk Contest Release Date
Look for the Air Jordan 3 “Dunk Contest” to release on February 14th at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $200 USD.
