It’s been some time since we heard anything new about the Undefeated x Air Jordan 5, but that’s no longer the case. A first look at the “Moon Fossil” colorway has now surfaced, giving us our first real idea of what the 2027 release will look like.

The pair shown here could be a sample, but from the looks of it, this is expected to be the general direction for the retail version. Undefeated’s take on the Air Jordan 5 comes covered in a tan canvas-style upper, with matching overlays and netting keeping the look pretty uniform across the shoe.

A few details stand out right away. Undefeated’s Five Strike logo appears near the lateral heel in olive, while the back features Nike Air-style embroidery with “UND” stitched underneath. The tongue comes in reflective silver with black striping down the middle and a red Jumpman at the top. Translucent lace locks are also in the mix, along with an icy outsole underfoot.

The midsole keeps things balanced with black along the sidewalls, white shark teeth, and a cream section wrapping the front. Altogether, it lines up with the military-inspired direction people expected from Undefeated.

This “Moon Fossil” pair is one of two Undefeated x Air Jordan 5 colorways currently being reported for 2027. The second pair, dressed in Light Chocolate, University Red, Cement Grey, and Black, is expected to use the same overall setup and branding, though that one has not surfaced yet.

Undefeated Air Jordan 5 “Moon Fossil” Release Date

The Undefeated x Air Jordan 5 “Moon Fossil” is expected to release February 18, 2027, during NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix. Retail is expected to be $230. A matching apparel collection, including full-zip hoodies, sweatpants, and T-shirts, is also expected to release alongside the shoes.
